THE TRUNK DOES NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUT, WITH KEY OR WITHOUT, MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT IN ASSEMBLY OF VEHICLE. I TOOK THE AUTO TO THE DEALERSHIP (TURLOCK - SMITH CHEVROLET CADILLAC, INC.) AND WAS CHARGED FOR THEM TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO BREAK INTO THE TRUNK WITHOUT SUCCESS. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THIS MODEL YEAR HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS DEFECTIVE ISSUES. THERE IS NO WAY TO GET INTO TRUNK WITHOUT DIS ASSEMBLY. BASICALLY BREAKING IN TO THE TRUNK AND REBUILDING THE ENTIRE LOCK DOWN ASSEMBLY. I AM EXTREMELY DEPRESSED, I CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT PROBLEM OTHER THAN RE-ASSBLE THE WHOLE MESS CADILLAC CREATED BY THIS MALFUNCTIONING ISSUE.

THE TORQUE CONVERTER FAILED. THE DEALER COULD NOT PINPOINT THE ACTUAL PROBLEM WHEN THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON. THEY SAID WE SHOULD TRY TO REPLACE THE SOLENOID FIRST AND SEE IF THAT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT DID NOT. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP ANALYZED THE PROBLEM AND SAID IT WAS IN THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CADILLAC AS GM HAD PUT A "BISQUE" TORQUE CONVERTER IN ALL CADILLACS TO MAKE IT RUN SMOOTHER. IT COST $600 TO HAVE A NEW SOLENOID INSTALLED AND THEN AN ADDITIONAL $3000 FOR A REMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION. THIS IS INEXCUSEABLE!
