Supplemental restraint system problem. See you dealer. Warning light.
I own a 2020 Honda Accord EX-L with a 1.5T turbo engine. The problem happened on January 20, 2026, when my car had 66,988 miles. While my husband was driving it, the engine warning light came on, and the car suddenly lost power in the middle of the road. Fortunately, there was no car behind me at the time. Otherwise, he could have been in a serious accident. He was able to pull into a nearby parking lot. To avoid further damage, we had the car towed to a certified Honda dealership for diagnosis. The dealer told me that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The total repair cost was $1,851. The dealer checked my vehicle identification number (VIN) and told me there was no recall for my car, even though some vehicles of the same model and year do have recalls for similar issues. Because of this, I had to pay the full repair cost out of pocket. I kept the repair receipt. I later contacted Honda’s customer service to report the issue. However, the representative informed me that Honda could not provide assistance because my VIN was not included in the recall list.
All of the warning lights and 8 warning messages are displayed on my dashboard. They display for a certain amount of time then they go off and return. A number of Youtube post suggest disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes to reset the computer. This is a short term fix. I took the car to Honda for diagnostic test twice. First time I was told it was the turbo and would cost around $2,000. I took it to a different Honda dealership for a second opinion and after their diagnostic test I was told it was an issue in the steering wheel. I had the work completed for the steering wheel, but that was not the issue and the mechanic that completed the work on my steering wheel did a test ride in the vehicle and stated it's not the turbo, because the vehicle is driving normal. Not sure what to do next, but saw a post about reporting this issue to NHTSA.
We are getting an airbag warning intermittently. It happens most often when our daughter (about 80-90lbs) is in the passenger seat. I see that the 2020-2022 Accords have an active safety recall for the sensor in the passenger seat but our dealer (performance kings Honda - Cincinnati) is saying there isn't one for our VIN. I have screenshots of the app and the dash. Thank you!
I was driving down the road, on Pinewood rd Sumter sc 29154, the front camera sensed something in the road but nothing was in the road I didn’t brake because I didn’t see anything in the road the orange brake light flashed on dash, so the car did a hard brake of its own, it jerked me the driver I had a sore neck and upper back area for a day due to the hard brake that jerked me. I continue to have phantom braking but I brake when this occurs to avoid hard jerks. I have not yet taken to the dealership.
There has been no incident with my vehicle but I am writing to look into this issue. I see several threads online regarding these warning lights that just randomly pop up without any indicator of a problem with the vehicle. This stops all these assistive features from responding if there were a hazard. Please look into this because Honda is not responsive to the recall issue.
Driving on rt 42 at 1042pm on March 1st going 60mph my cars break light came on for me to break like there was something in front of me but there wasn’t.
2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5. Routine maintenance always done on time. At 108K turn my car on after a routine 45 minute drive an hour or so previous and all warning lights come on. TPMS, Brake System Problem, road dept system, emissions system. Dealer reports Head Gasket needs replaced and 3rd cylinder misfire, coolant leak etc. Quoted 5K to repair. Only 108K miles. Honda isn’t what it used to be. Quick search reveals the 10th Gen accords and civics suffer from early failure of this product routinely. Surely a known defect worthy of recall.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The turbo charger and the fuel pump How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Both instances I was driving and car automatically started to decelerate while I was on the busy interstate. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes by a dealer Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No but Honda has been notified because there is currently a recall out for these issues that includes my year of vehicle but not my vin. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes every system in the vehicle stated it was failing and engine light came on.
Car just started jerking and eventually stopped. I had it checked and was told the turbo was gone. Took it to Honda they said the head gaskets are blown. The car is 5 1/2 years old and it not one time ever ran hot. I’m not the only one with this issue. Honda needs to do something to fix this. Every car that goes to service has this issue something is definitely not right
Supplemental Restraint System Problem
I replaced my fuel injectors which seems to be a ginormous problem with these 1.5l engines. This was unfortunately only the start of my issues. My current issue is after replacing the fuel injectors my car was still hesitant when accelerating(jerking), stalling, rough idling and my only answer from anyone is my fuel pump/filter. Reading through these forums I am seeing this being another ginormous issue with this model. It’s a shame and so mind blowing Honda has not done anything about either issue. Stay safe my 1.5ers!!!
All the lights on the dashboard went off when there was not any previously. With that issue the gas pedal was struggling to go over 20 mph, it was jolting when gas pedal is used.
February 13th at 1256am my emergency break light flashed on my dashboard and beep for me to break but there was nothing in front of me. I was going 60mph on route 42. Roads were clear and there was no traffic.
On Thursday February 5th 2026 I was driving on route 42 at 1014pm going 60mph and my automatic break light came on and beeped as I was driving down the highway. There was nothing in front of me.
The steering is sticky, and jerky. It's hard for me to maintain a safe driving experience. I'm going to get pulled over. There is a recall on this problem but I have no recalls for my car!!!! The dealership will not acknowledge. And ot is getting so much worse. 52233 miles.
9 warnings lights turned on on my dashboard and when going slow and accelerating it brakes by it self also brakes on freeway going 70 mph and then recovers
Driving on the white horse pike in Berlin New Jersey at 1:39pm on January 21st and my BREAK light warning light came on. There was nothing in front of me, I was doing 40mph. The roads were dry, There were no cars near me, and no traffic. It happened again on the same day January 21st, on the White Horse Pike in Lindenwold New Jersey. This one happened at 520pm, I was doing 45mph and my BREAK warning light came on. The road was dry, there was no traffic on the road, and no cars or debris in the road either.
I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden my vehicle didn’t want to accelerate. It began to jerk violently when I would press the gas to accelerate, but my car couldn’t go the speed limit & vehicles behind me almost collided with my car. I then took my car to service and told them what happened and they said my fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The service advisor at the Honda service department that the fuel injectors fail early on the type of Honda accord I have. That it is a known issue for those model for the injectors to fail. I even took it to an independent shop and he also confirmed the injectors are bad. The first time it happened was in December & I got a flashing check engine light, but after that the light didn’t appear. Until 12-31-2025 the check engine light fully came on. Prior to the failure there were no warning lights. If Honda knows there is a known problem on the fuel injectors why don’t they have a recall. It put mine & the lives of others in danger. Not to mention I was quoted over $2,000.00 from the Honda dealership for the repairs.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the Forward Collision Avoidance message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that the radar sensor, located on the front bumper, indicated that the vehicle was involved in a crash. The contact stated that the vehicle was not involved in a crash. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced phantom braking twice. After several minutes, the vehicle returned to normal functionality. The “BRAKE” message was displayed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving on the expressway. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be repaired. Most recently, while driving at an undisclosed speed, several warning lights were illuminated and remained illuminated. Additionally, the cruise control and Lane Departure warning lights failed to function as intended. The vehicle also failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact's wife pulled to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle returned to driving as intended. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
My car shut off on the road. I tried to accelerate but all my lights on the dashboard came on. I wasn’t able to accelerate more than 20mph. I was about to make it back home. Today I tried to take it out on a test drive, it’s drivable but I was not able to accelerate. Every time I pressed the gas, my car would stall. This is the 4th time it happened.
Honda accords have a 1.5 L engine, which all have an issue with the head gaskets either overheating or mixing coolant into the cylinders. They’re all doing it eventually because there is a design flaw Honda doesn’t want to honor it and the car will just stop on you on the freeway because coolant touches the spark plugs. Honda is denying the issue when there’s a whole Facebook page and Internet, page of people saying the same thing they’re quoting and unreasonable amount to fix it almost the cost of the car. It is a very dangerous safety issue and eventually someone could die and needs to make a recall immediately before that happens. Most shops don’t even want to touch the car because it’s a safety issue. If we can get this past ASAP for anybody who has that car or anybody that’s gonna buy that car the safety for them in their family.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while the vehicle was started, there was an abnormal cranking sound coming from the engine with several unknown warning lights illuminated. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was an abnormal fuel-burning odor coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was almost involved in a crash due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not inspected or diagnosed. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with fuel pump failure. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was taken to another dealer to be diagnosed; however, the vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. A case manager was assigned, and the contact was waiting to hear from the case manager. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.
Steering wheel sticking or no response at all at highway speeds going around 60-80 miles per hour.
I have constantly had to replace spark plugs within the last year — all lights are on dashboard. Finally took it and got a P0372 code, rough idling and misfiring, and stalling. Car once cut off on me while driving. Took it to the Honda dealership and it is indeed my fuel injectors and gasket. I have tried to get in touch about a possible recall but the Honda Manufacturer are failing to release a recall. With all lights on dashboard, NO features of the car can be used (cruise control, road departure, lane keep assist, collision mitigation, hill start assist, traction control, brake hold, and tpms) I’m looking forward to a recall coming as soon as possible. I have done my research and thousands of people are having the SAME issue, it is frustrating especially with the cost of work having to be done. Nobody should have to purchase a new car because of a defect of the manufacturer or too lazy to investigate the issue. HONDA Salesmen and mechanics all say the same thing about the 1.5L Sports model. Over 3,400 worth of work due to a problem I did not cause.
Was operating the vehicle at about 30mph and the braking system started malfunctioning by giving me limited braking power and throwing a bunch of lights on the dash along with sudden loss of acceleration. Tried to press the pedal again and it didn’t respond I drifted to a stop in the middle a lane in the road. Had to shut vehicle off then restart to regain function. All conditions were clear outside. The dealer I bought it from has been very suspicious since the purchase. Bought as a “certified pre-owned” but have had nothing but problems in the couple weeks of owning. Such as the TPMS system continuously going off saying “low tire pressure” the dealer has seen it multiple times and still can’t figure out the problem. They said they’re gonna start “throwing random parts at it” Issues just continue to get worse with little to no cooperation with the dealership. Will be inspected in the morning once it’s towed in. No longer feel safe operating vehicle. Warning lamps came on after the malfunction. Then flickered on and off a few times then stayed on when I restarted the vehicle.
Passenger airbag intermittently works correctly. Sometimes the airbag comes on with an 85lb and 110lb children, but not always. According to the manual, the children are well above the 65lb minimum weight. At another time, sensor did not come on with a 160lb adult. Weight sensor does not appear to be working properly. Honda service performed diagnostic and code B00D5-14 appeared, so they replaced the faulty switch hazard SRS on/off switch. Problem is still occurring - airbag turns on intermittently when children (85lb and 110lb) sits in passenger seat.
On December 26, 2025, the supplemental restraint system problem appeared on the dashboard. On January 6, 2026, vehicle was taken to Stockton Honda service department to performed a diagnostic test and multi-point inspection was completed. During this time the diagnostic results showed a code B0020-13, open or increased resistance in the left side airbag inflator. They recommend starting with the inflator replacement parts, SRS unit and program, and driver seat belt.
All the indicator lights are activated on the dashboard. They go off after disconnecting the negative battery terminal bit co.e back on later.
ENGINE,Coolant system VEHICLE WAS CUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING SHAKING AND JERKING
Complete loss of power on acceleration. Car goes limp while driving on highway or a 50 mph street - very dangerous to have loss of power when other cars are driving fast too. We have replaced the spark plugs, coils, and fuel injectors. That was a waste of time and money bc the same problem existing- loss of power again! Turns out, it’s bc the Head gasket has a design flaw - deep grooves between the cylinder heads and head bolts that are not strong or tight enough. I have lost all trust for Honda bc this has not been issued as a recall. After quick online research- Everyone is having the same issue who has these models, this needs to be a safety recall bc Honda created a faulty head gasket design. This car is not safe bc the head gasket design, and I’m making payments on a car that I can’t even drive. Unethical for Honda to not take accountability for this! I’m driving my 03 Toyota that has over 300k miles is more reliable than this 2020 Honda - paying for a car I can’t drive makes me despise Honda for not issuing this recall.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that when attempting to start the vehicle, it would rev up and take an extended 15-second start before starting. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was not able to duplicate the issue; however, did presume that a defective fuel system caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
Sticky steering wheel at highway speed 70mph and when you put enough force to make it turn it jerks and you have to over correct it and go the other way to maintain in the middle lane on the highway. Takes about 10-15miles to start doing it but does not go away at all once it starts. Happens everytime on the highway
I would like to report a known issue with the Honda Accord Sport 1.5t. My head gasket went out Aug. 2024 with about 100,000 miles on the dashboard. The cost to change it was about 4100. My Turbo Charger is now out Dec. 2025, and they are quoting me about 2100 before taxes. The dealership did advise that there is a known issue with the head gasket going out prematurely due to a default with the engine. They also advised that the turbo charger normally goes out after the head gasket is replaced. Please work on having the engine recalled. This is awful. After researching this issue, I see thousands of others are having the same issue. Best regards, Yvette J.
While driving my 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, VIN [XXX] , the car would start exhibiting rough engine feels, and all of the dashboard lights would come on. The car would lose power at highway speeds, and I’d have to pull over to turn the car off and on. When checking on OBDII meter, getting P0301 codes. I have replaced the coils and plugs twice and still not better. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While I was driving on the highway, the brakes of my car suddenly were violently activated and I had not touched the brakes. If there had been a car behind me, it would have been a major rear end collision. It was over quickly and I accelerated back to the normal speed. I talked to the Honda Service Mgr where I purchased the car and he said he was unaware of the problem although I see that that nearly 3 million Hondas have experienced this issue.
DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR STARTED TO LOSE POWER AND DE-CELLERATE, EVENTUALLY STOPPING. AFTER LEAVING IT OVERNIGHT, I RETURNED AND THE CAR STARTED. I SLOWLY DROVE IT TO A DEALERSHIP WITHIN 3 MILES. THE DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY DID FIND A "LABOR DIAG FOUND IN HISTORY CODE P0304" .
A supplemental restraint message is occasionally flashing on my dashboard
It is unknown what system failed. While coasting to slow for the stopped car in front of me, the car began aggressively accelerating without warning. Adaptive and standard cruise control were both off. Lane keep assist and road departure were also switched off. Due to the slick nature of the road, the acceleration left me traveling far too fast with little space to stop. After sliding to a stop, I was within a foot from the car in front of me. This failure very nearly caused an at-fault accident which there was nothing more I could do. Note that this happened roughly 40 mins into a drive, which was otherwise uneventful. No warning lights were present before, during, or after the issue. This car has been having phantom braking issues and power loss issues consistently since March and has spent significant time in Honda's hands for this issue. The vehicle has come to a near stop on the highway from the previous braking issues and has lost power, stranding me in traffic on a highway. It is suspected that the same system failure that caused those issues has come back up again. To date, thousands have been spent on repair "guesses" and tow bills with no end in sight to these safety issues. This vehicle has become a liability and, as a result, inspections are strongly encouraged. I have included photos of the floor mats as they were at the time, properly secured and not near either pedal.
Fuel injectors went bad and caused several warnings to pop up at one time. Vehicle begin to stall on the interstate out of nowhere. Taken to Honda dealership to confirm it was the fuel injectors.
I had just left my job in Albany and was headed to the Latham area, while merging into traffic on I-90 West my 2020 Honda Accord EX-L started to rattle and slow down, numerous lights illuminated simultaneously on my dashboard. I immediately pulled off the north shoulder and restarted my vehicle to no avail, the dashboard lights were still lit and my vehicles speed and steering were compromised. My safety was put at risk due to the immediate issues as previously described while in heavy traffic, I could have easily been involved in an accident due this issue. The system Keeler Honda advised me that had failed was allegedly the head gasket leaking coolant into the engine by means of cylinder four. I was later informed by Keeler that this is a common issue with the accord 1.5 L turbo engines. The problem has been verified by Keeler Honda. There was no prior warning light on my dash that would have indicated there was an issue with my vehicle, the lights only all appeared once the incident had occurred.
On December 4 at 8:57pm I was driving on interstate 295 doing 60 miles an hour and my car’s warning light for breaking came up for me to break like something was in front of me even though there wasn’t, this is a continuing thing going on. I reported every time it happens.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes independently activated, and the transmission independently shifted into neutral. The contact stated that there were no other vehicles nearby. The brake warning light illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to clean off the sensors and see if the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that she did not want to see if the failure would recur. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,660.
Check engine, tire pressure, battery and every other light on the dashboard
Blown head gasket at 98.5K miles.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Automatic Emergency Braking System erroneously activated, causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the road. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure, and the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact was informed of NHTSA Action Number: EA24002 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE); and related the failure to NHTSA Action Number. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brakes were independently activated without the driver depressing the brake pedal. The “Service Brakes” warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. In addition, the contact related the failure to Honda Recall: TN2; however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.
Honda never contacted me about this recall or steps to fixing the problem to make sure my car was safe and running/working correctly. I would like the problem/recall to be fixed ASAP. I looked up my VIN on your website and this is how I even found out about this recall. Please help me get it fixed. Thank you.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON & OFF. HAVEN'T BEEN TO DEALER FOR PROBLEM.
All dashboard lights came on and car lost speed while I was driving on the freeway in traffic.I couldn't even use emergency lights.Lucky I didn't get hit and maybe killed. Thus had happened several times and after researching i see other people have the same problem.
The contact’s husband owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated, and the message "Supplemental Restraint System" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was an air bag issue, and the passenger’s side air bag sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 71,000.
Driving on a clear road on a clear day with no car in front of me, the brake warning flashed and then the car braked on its own. There was NO reason for the warning or for the car to brake on its own. Automatic breaking isn’t even a feature on this car.
I tried to take my car to the dealer because my car brakes on its own and it had a alert that something was wrong with the air bags . I can ve driving anywhere and without reason the car breaks putting my life in danger and my family. I have tried to contact the dealer about this serious matter but I don't get anywhere. I am reaching out to see what solution we can come to ?
The car when pressing the accelerator will decelerate and go limp and won’t move. This is happening to a lot of Honda accords. This will cause an serious accident.
Car has recently started to actuate the door locks while accelerating from a slowing or braking position. There was some clicking or chattering under the steering wheel that may be a symptom before this started happening. It sounds a lot like the recall for other Accords on the control module. Either way, the car should not be actuating the locks when accelerating from a slowing or braking situation. This is not normal and could be life threatening if in an accident.
Was driving on the freeway approximately 70 mph on saturday October 4th, When car goes into limp mode and throws a engine light on, leaving me stranded on the freeway. Another occurrence one week later on Saturday October 11th when car went into limp mode again driving around 35 mph in the city. Both cases I turned the car off and on and returned back to normal, come to find out with the dealer it is a blown head gasket and their is coolant leaking into cylinder 3. A BLOWN HEADGASKET!!!!! Everyone is having these problems
The touch screen radio will randomly start pressing itself, it’s a major safety issue. You can be on a road trip with the GPS on the screen and it will randomly go to settings causing you not to be able to see where you need to go next. This is a constant problem I deal with everyday.
All lights have popped up on dash. Stayed on for 2 days back in july and then went off. Came back on 2 days ago (oct 5th) and have not went off yet. LKA, cruise control, parking brake light, TPMS, traction control, and engine light.
The vehicle keeps braking automatically with nothing in front of me, I see numerous people reporting it so I figured I should aswell, nothing in front or near me when it automatically brakes, it is scary as heck tho!
I was driving down US Route 42 on 10/4/25 at 1:10 AM and my car phantom break itself while I was doing 60 miles an hour on the highway.
Good Morning, I have new Honda Accord 2020 which always been taken care of regular services and oil changes etc. This morning I tried to start my car going to work but suddenly all brake related warning signs came off. My card still not starting the engine. I researched online and found out many people who have same Honda facing same issues. So I figured it's better to be reported before someone gets really hurts while on road. Please find attached pictured with this incident report please.

On September 2, 2025 at 1004-1005 EST, my car phantom braked, when there was nothing in front of me and this time instead of just flashing brake on the dashboard, it actually breaks itself and threw me into the steering wheel thank God my seatbelt caught me, but it really choked me up. This has happened quite a number of times before, but this is the first time that it breaked when I actually stepped on the brake pedal it break itself myself also. The component is the automatic breaking for the collision impact that keeps phantom breaking on me. It has never been looked at by a dealer or anyone otherwise. The lamp that came on was the BREAK lamp where the rpm are at.
Emissions system problems see dealer light came on took to autozone reading stated turbocharger but light went off. Later all warning lights came on so took to dealership they advised turbocharger as well. After for weeks no light no longer on. More recently emissions system problems light started coming on and off, but this time it will go days without being on then will turn on or it can be on when I first start driving then later it's no longer on. I also had issue with all lights coming on again went to autozone got brake fluid since it was low and they went off. I feel it maybe issue of faulty sensory due to fact car drives fine and light doesn't stay on consistently. I also see Honda currently has proposed class actions for defected turbochargers so wonder if that issue with my car.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the message "Service Brakes" was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions, but no fault for the issue was identified. The contact stated that the failure persisted, and eventually, the dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the brake booster was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 10,000.
There has been multiple times that when I am driving on the highway doing 60 miles an hour, the dashboard will light up to BRAKE the car when there is nothing in front of the car, no other car no trash nothing. It has done this on slower roads where the speed limit is 40 mph and under but it will actually brake the car and I have had cars behind me when this happens. This keeps happening multiply times a week.
Electrical drain in system causing premature battery failure and electrical misfiring that causes the car to shut off and flashing a brake warning message to contact dealer and once this occurs car won’t start until Honda link and hands free pairing are reconnected. Issue is if the misfiring drains the battery, driver is not able to reconnect the cars apps and pair the Bluetooth, therefore, car is not will be immobile until battery is recharged.
On July 30, 2025, my Honda’s Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) randomly activated without any obstacles in front of the vehicle. Since then, this issue has happened numerous times while driving. When the incident occurs, the system flashes a “Brake” warning and suddenly applies the brakes while I am driving. This creates a serious risk of a rear-end collision, loss of control, or bodily harm. I had the vehicle inspected by an authorized Honda dealership on August 1, 2025 for this issue. Despite the inspection, the malfunction continues to occur. Although I have not yet been involved in an accident, this defect poses an ongoing safety hazard for myself, passengers, and others on the road. I request that NHTSA investigate this matter.
When I turned my car on after work every warning light on the dashboard was on. A few of the warning messages read: Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Electric Power Steering System Problem. I first took it to Oreilly's to have the diagnostics ran. They told me the ignition coils needed to be replaces. We replaced the ignition coils and the spark plugs. The lights stayed off for about 3-4 days and then the same thing happened again. I took it to the dealership to be checked out and they told me that the head gasket had failed and coolant was leaking into the cylinder and causing the engine to overheat.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V064000 (Air Bags ); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Car has only 73k miles , fails to accelerate unless it’s left to run for an hr . All lights on dash . Replaced spark plugs, coils and battery to no avail and Took to get diagnosed and was told head gasket and quoted 7k to fix. When car does drive it immediately accelerates to 40 on dash which could cause collision leaving me to feel unsafe to drive .
The Honda Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) will randomly activate without any obstacles in front of the vehicle. Consequently, increasing the risk for car accidents, loss of control, and bodily harm. The car has not been inspected by a dealer or certified mechanic for this problem. However, the vehicle is available for inspection and repair as needed. While the incident occurs, the CMBS warning system will flash ‘Brake’.
When the fuel tank was at 1/4 full/empty, the car started stalling on the highway. We were able to go to a gas station and filled the gas tank. The problem was gone. We went to our mechanic but he could not find the problem. A few day's later the gas tank was 1/2 full/empty and the same problem happened. We filled it up and the problem was gone. We went back to our shop and the mechanic did a diag but didn't find any fault codes. He advised to go to the Honda dealer to take a look at it.
My car displays every single light on the dashboard it’s been happening for about a year. It starts to shake when I turn it on sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn’t but now it’s a reoccurring issue and has been happening for the past six months we’ve brought it to everywhere. The engine is stalling and won’t go over 20 mph. I’m lucky if it gets to 40 . There’s a recall on my car, but my van is not covered underneath it. Looking to see if this can be looked into since so many people I have spoken to says that that’s what they’re experiencing until they got the recall fixed
When driving my car it will phantom break when there is nothing in front of it going down the highway 5060 miles an hour and it’s done at numerous times. I have not been in an accident yet, but it’s something that keeps occurring on my car.
Every light on the dash board is on
Car is giving a P0301 error. Replaced coils and spark plugs still giving error. The problem is fuel inejectors. Gives car a rough idle at start up.
I noticed a loud grinding noise and reduced braking power coming from my 2020 Honda Accord while driving at normal city speeds. A local mechanic inspected it and found that the rear brake caliper was sticking and causing premature wear. I contacted Honda service, but they refused to cover the cost or inspect it under goodwill, even though similar issues have been reported with other Honda models. This issue puts my safety at risk as braking is compromised and steering becomes harder. The problem was confirmed by a local certified mechanic and is available for inspection if needed.
Malfunctioning fuel injectors causing misfires stem from a known issue with faulty fuel injectors; a problem widely reported across multiple Honda models equipped with the 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injection engine. Notably, the Honda CR-V (2019–2023), Civic (2019–2022), and Accord (2018–2022) have all been consistently linked to fuel injector failures. The most serious safety concern associated with this defect is the potential for sudden throttle changes, which can trigger the check engine light, cause the engine to lose drive power, hesitate, or even stall—all of which significantly increase the risk of a crash or injury.
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue involving the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system on my Honda Accord 2020. The system has been engaging randomly and without cause, abruptly applying the brakes when there is no obstacle or hazard present. On multiple occasions, this malfunction has occurred while driving at normal speeds, including on highways and in moderate traffic. These sudden, unprovoked braking events have created extremely dangerous situations, nearly causing rear-end collisions and putting both myself and other drivers at risk. Despite there being no obstruction in front of the vehicle, the system behaves as though an emergency stop is necessary. This issue not only undermines the purpose of the safety feature but also significantly increases the risk of an accident due to unexpected deceleration. I urge Honda to thoroughly investigate this issue, as it appears to be a potentially widespread and dangerous defect. I am requesting that the company: •Address and correct the fault in my vehicle’s AEB system at no cost •Provide a clear explanation of the root cause •Inform me of any recalls or technical service bulletins (TSBs) related to this problem
Subject: Request for Recall Due to Persistent Dashboard Warnings and Engine Malfunction Dear [Manufacturer Honda] / NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a serious issue with my vehicle. All of the warning lights on the dashboard remain illuminated and do not turn off. Additionally, the vehicle occasionally becomes undriveable, unable to accelerate beyond 5 miles per hour. I was informed that the problem is related to the engine. I brought the car to a dealership for inspection, but they refused to repair the issue because the vehicle had just passed 40,000 miles. They stated that the warranty no longer covers the repair, despite the severity of the malfunction. After doing research and speaking with other vehicle owners, I have learned that this issue is not unique to my car. It appears to be a widespread problem affecting many vehicles of the same make and model across the United States. Given the safety risks and the number of affected vehicles, I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and consider issuing a recall. Owners should not be left responsible for costly repairs when the problem is clearly a recurring defect. Thank you for your time and attention.
Driving on I70 mm152.2 my transmission went out and I was left quickly slowing on the interstate. I was in left line and cars were passing on the right. I needed to get over because I could not pull over to the left. Thought I might get stuck stopped on the interstate but was able to get over safely. Car only had 88000 miles on it and was less than 5 years old
I continue getting a message Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer. Also, many times not all my doors lock and I have replaced the battery for key fob numerous times and no luck still while driving I hear a noise as if the doors are locking or unlocking on its own.
During a forward-side lane departure collision in my 2020 Honda Accord, the Body Control Module (BCM), forward collision radar system, braking assist, and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSI) all failed to activate. As a result, the vehicle did not brake, warn, or stabilize before impact. The airbags also failed to deploy during the crash. My safety and the safety of others were put at serious risk, as the vehicle did not respond as designed despite being equipped with these systems. The car is now undrivable but available for inspection. This issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer due to the car's condition, but similar failures have been reported in other 2020 Honda Accords already under recall. The insurance company did not request vehicle data and did not inspect the systems. There were no warning lamps, alerts, or messages prior to the failure; the malfunction occurred without notice. I am requesting that this vehicle be added to the existing recall list related to BCM and safety system failures.
All the lights coming on on the dash
Vehicle will randomly slam on brakes to a dead stop, engaging my seatbelt when engine braking behind a vehicle. Usually happens on surface streets when the vehicle in front of me is turning into a driveway/tight right turn. My velocity is decreasing & I am not at risk of colliding with the vehicle every time. System does not seem to register engine braking with a manual transmission as “braking.” I’ve nearly been rear ended several times due to coming to a dead stop in traffic. I’ve asked Honda how to permanently disable the system, with the only advice to turn it off manually every single time I start the vehicle.
Right front turn signal does not work also fm/am radio does not work as well as trunk release button on trunk itself. Had both head lights replaced thinking it was an LED issue with turn signal and was told by mechanic that BCM is the issue. Called Honda regarding the recall to the BCM and was told my car is not apart of said recall because it didn’t come from a certain region but seems to be all of Honda accords have this issue regardless of plant manufacturer
Received the following message "Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer" on my car dashboard. Brought to dealer and was told the issue was with the front passenger airbag cut on/off indicator. Was told this needed to be fixed or the airbag would not work. It was not covered by Honda as it was over 3 years and 36000 miles. Spoke to Honda and was informed I am not the only one with this problem but they would not cover it. Had to go out of pocket almost $500 on a malfunction that should be covered by a recall.
My 2020 Accord has had a recall on it for quite some time regarding the passenger side airbags. I have reached out to my dealership multiple times about this recall and I am told they do not have parts to fix it. They are on back order. I even reached out to a different dealership and has the same issue is pointless to recall if we can’t fix the problem. How can I get someone to fix this or find the components necessary to at least
The turbo apparently went out without any warning as I was pulling onto the highway from work 5/22/25. I was almost creamed by the cars flying down the road. My vehicle is very well maintained , no issues ever until this. It upsets me rightly to find that this is not only been reported to you all, but there are people who are having to do class action lawsuit to try to get Honda to be held accountable at the very least since they refuse to recall this engine. There are thousands of people out here I have engine installing. Anytime an engine saws there is a danger whether I actually had an accident or made a report or not. And for the manufacturer to know that they have this issue and do nothing about it blows my mind. We can not allow car makers to put engines and cars that have known issues that lead to the lockdown and therefore stalling out of a brand new vehicle. Not everyone knows they need to come here and file a complaint. There are so many more people with this same issue. I don’t have an incident report because by the grace of God I was able to avoid the incident. How many people have to get hurt before we make Honda accept this critical engine damage is their responsibility to fix. That doesn’t even include the thousands of people who have spent their hard earned money to purchase a car. They’re supposed to be number one and safety only to have to deal with the engine installing. Is my hope that you would look further into any investigations you may already have people should not have to file lawsuits to get Honda to fix this. It is dangerous and it is not acceptable. On top of that it’s extremely pricey a big deal to force your customer to foot when they’ve done nothing wrong.
I have a seat sensor airbag code and a b0d5 code
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the brakes had erroneously activated, causing the vehicle the suddenly decelerate. During the failure, the "BRAKE" light was flashing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Action Number: EA24002 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the investigation. Additionally, after starting the vehicle and driving forward or in reverse, there was a squeaking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure, and informed the contact that the failure was a common issue, but the manufacturer had not issued a service campaign to address the issue. The failure mileage was 30,000.
Multiple warning lights on the dashboard come on and stay on including but not limited to check engine light, abs, break lights ect…
False alarms (several hundred) with audio and visual warnings but no braking. ONE instance of false alarm WITH emergency braking from 55mph to under 30mph. I do not recall a false warning happening after sundown, ever. Alarms have occurred on bright days with sharp shadows, and overcast with no shadows. There always seems to be a solid overhead object being approached, overpass, railway trestle, solid bar supporting a traffic light. This is highly intermittent where alarms occurred 3 in a week, to 1 in a span of two months. The two constants I have noted are it happens during daylight hours and a substantial overhead object or structure is being approached. Alarms have been occurring since 2021 when i bought the car new off the lot.
Seat weight sensor failure resuling in the illumination of the SRS warning indicator
THE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF SAYING THAT I NEED TO TAKE IT BY THE DEALER FOR THEM TO FIX IT. WENT BY THERE MONDAY THEY CLEARED CODE AND THEN IT CAME BACK ON MONDAY EVENING. DROPPED IT OFF THIS MORNING AND THEY SAID IT GONNA COST OVER 300$. THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS BUT MY VIN DID NOT SHOW UP. BUT IT STILL COULD BE AFFECTED
The Honda Infotainment system, does not respond to touch, and randomly changes screens as if someone is pushing buttons. It randomly switches to the phone, contacts, music, Bluetooth connection, and navigation. When using navigation it moves the map and brings up routes. This can cause significant distractions to the driver. Multiple individuals have reported this issue to the dealer.
The vehicle would stop accelerating despite still applying pressure to the gas pedal. Feeling as if no field was being allowed to flow through.
- Component/System failure/malfunction: ADAS. Specifically, CMBS and/or ACC. - My car has repeatedly experienced unexpected braking events, rapidly bringing me to nearly a complete stop in the highway. During this time, I have no ability to control the speed of my vehicle. This has been occurring during my ~70 mile commute on I-675, I-75, and I-275. - Despite having the car on multiple occasions and for over a week collectively, the issue has not been replicated by the dealer. - The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others to date. The Honda dealer has not initiated any further inspection. - During these failures, the car has (often) been braking without due reason or any alert to the driver. No system malfunction was found (either shown to driver or in computer log, as verified by dealer). Please review attached document for further details regarding the incident(s). This copy has been presented to Honda and the Ohio Attorney General.
Subject: Turbocharger Underboost – Safety Concern on 2020 Honda Accord EX-L I am reporting a serious safety issue with the turbocharger system on my 2020 Honda Accord EX-L with the 1.5L turbocharged engine. The vehicle has repeatedly triggered Diagnostic Trouble Code P0299 (Turbocharger Underboost), indicating the turbocharger is failing to generate sufficient boost. As a result, the vehicle suffers from sudden loss of power, especially during acceleration and highway merging. This power loss occurs without warning and severely impacts my ability to drive safely in traffic, increasing the risk of accidents. There are currently no recalls or manufacturer advisories addressing this issue, despite numerous online reports from other Honda owners with the same engine and problem. This suggests a possible design flaw or premature component failure in the turbocharging system. Given the frequency of this issue and its impact on vehicle safety, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter and consider whether a recall or manufacturer service campaign is necessary. Symptoms include: •Sudden engine power loss •Error code P0299 •Inability to accelerate safely •Safety risk during lane changes and merges First occurrence: April 20, 2025 Ongoing issue: Yes Mileage at first occurrence: 111, 000 Crash or injury: No Thank you for your attention to this matter
Just like the 2018 Accord in Still Night Pearl (addressed in TSB 21-087), the paint has peeled and failed on the roof line by the rear glass. Called Honda, they don't care to address ANY vehicles with this KNOWN paint defect any longer. Now we have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to get it resolved or the steel will start to rust. Will NEVER purchase a Honda ever again.
Car reached 113,000 miles and started having misfires in cylinders 1&2. After being told it needed new coil packs and spark plugs, and replacing those it is still misfiring. Paid for diagnostic again and was told cylinder 1&2 were wet and most likely it was the head gasket failing.
Starting sconce July the car will vibrate at random times and will hesitate and buck while car will vibrate and not want to move have brought the car back to the dealership over 4 times now and they can not find any issues despite me having videos and any information I can gather since July if 2024
I had an appointment today (4/18/2025) at Causeway Honda in Manahawkin, NJ to remedy the recall of the 2020 Honda Accord seat weight sensor circuit board. When I got there Amanda from the service department said they cannot fix the issue because Honda will not pay for it. She said that they are only fixing cars that has an SRS indicator illuminated on the display panel.
•Alleged Defect: The defect is described as the engines' inability to handle the increased heat and compression of a turbocharger, causing coolant leakage and damage to the engine's head gasket.
The car brake by itself with no obstacles in the way
Mechanic said there was a fault in the hi pressure fuel injectors that’s causing the engine to run rich
Detailed Statement of Defect and Manufacturer’s Acknowledgment – Honda Fuel Pump Recall (2017–2020 Acura and Honda Models) Overview of Recall: On December 21, 2023, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. publicly announced a voluntary safety recall affecting approximately 2.6 million Acura and Honda vehicles in the United States from model years 2017 through 2020. This large-scale recall concerns a critical defect in the fuel pump system that has the potential to cause engine stalling while the vehicle is in motion, posing a serious safety risk. Technical Description of the Defect: The issue stems from an improperly molded fuel pump impeller—a component responsible for fuel delivery within the pump. The molding defect results in the production of low-density impellers that are prone to deformation. Over time, these impellers can degrade and interfere with the fuel pump body, ultimately rendering the fuel pump inoperative. Should the fuel pump module fail during vehicle operation, the engine may not start or could stall without warning, which significantly increases the risk of a crash or injury due to the sudden loss of engine power, particularly at high speeds or in heavy traffic conditions. Manufacturer’s Response and Limitations: Honda has stated that it will replace the affected fuel pump modules free of charge, and claims that no crashes or injuries have been reported at the time of the announcement. However, it is critical to note: •Countermeasure replacement parts are currently unavailable in sufficient quantities to address all recalled vehicles simultaneously. •Honda plans to notify vehicle owners in stages, with initial notifications to begin in early February 2024, followed by additional notices as parts become available. •This delay in availability and communication may expose vehicle owners to ongoing safety risks without immediate remedy. Legal and Consumer Impact Considerations: While Honda has initiated recall efforts, the scope and severity o
This notification continues to pop up on my screen and when going to the dealer they are stating that my VIN number is not effected but I continue to get this notification. Safety is put to risk when the airbag is turned off while driving in the event of something terrible happening. We are not protected. The Dealer will not inspect this without having to pay out of pocket for a diagnostic.
CMBS not working properly. The car automatically brakes without any collision risk even on a clear road with no traffic and clear weather. Have a huge risk of someone crashing the car from the rear due to immediate braking. This issue has appeared several times.
Supplemental Restraint System Issue warning light illuminated on dash board. Immediately took to dealer and dealer diagnosed to be bad air bag sensor. No prior warning lights have been noticed
When setting something on my passenger seat such as a water bottle filled with water and a purse, the SRS light is triggered on the dashboard. After doing some research there was a safety recall for the passenger weight sensor on my vehicle model however my vin was not included.
High pressure fuel pump Yes almost caused an accident Vehicle was inspection and replaced No warning at all just lost power and all lights came on the dash. I was traveling in left lane down the highway lost power had to cross 3 lanes to get right side of shoulder. I shut off the car when I stop on the shoulder . I inspected the car for sign of low oil or coolant I didn't see any reason I lost power without any notice . I started the car again on the shoulder and I could only drive 17miles per hour and couldn't go over 2000rpms or the car would spudder and jerk.
My car is well taken care of but about 2 months ago the SRS light started to come on out of no where. It randomly comes on and most the time turns off after turning my car off and back on. Sometimes it doesn’t come off and sometimes it’s off for weeks before coming back on. Again, my car is not altered in any way or has never been in any accident. Car has 50k miles and I bought it from the dealership. I do not trust the dealership I bought it from because when there was a another recall for something with the gas pump, my car literally shut down on me and they took three days to repair something that only takes five minutes because they stated they needed to diagnose it, but I knew exactly what it was and they still did not listen to me
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? THE SRS LIGHT IS GOING OFF AND READING "SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER". How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? THE AIRBAGS ON MY PASSENGER SEAT Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? YES, THERE IS A RECALL ON THE EXACT ISSUE, BUT THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? IT WAS INSPECTED BY HONDA OF LINCOLN. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? YES. JANUARY 28, 2025, I GOT IN MY CAR AND THE SRS LIGHT WAS GOING OFF. I TOOK MY CAR IN TO BE SEEN BY HONDA OF LINCOLN, AND THEY ARE REPORTING THE SRS DEVICE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THOUGH THERE IS A OPEN RECALL. I AM BEING TOLD MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
This engine has been so poorly designed it leaks coolant Into the engine system. I am extremely frustrated and disgusted with the dealership and Honda for knowing these engines are defective yet still producing/selling them. We pay hard earned money for something so unreliable it’s actually insane. I don’t want to be nasty about it but someone needs to say something.
Brake system light keeps coming on
For the last few months, various warning lights on my dashboard have lit up. It will come on and off again, but this time they’re staying on. This has been happening since I got my fuel pump recall fixed. I go to an auto repair shop for a diagnosis and my fuel injectors need replacing. I believe the faulty fuel pump caused the injectors to go bad. My car stutters when coming to a stop and jerks when I press on the gas to get going. There have been many accounts of this happening to Honda owners everywhere.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. The check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, messages indicating an emission and TPMS failure, and other unknown messages were displayed. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The contact was able to continue driving; however, the failure recurred after driving for several miles, causing the contact to pull over to the side of the road several times. The contact stated that a mobile mechanic had replaced the spark plugs and the ignition coils several times; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the head gasket had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light was illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
As I stated, the Hondalink information feature stopped working on October 1, 2024. I have sent screenshots to Honda showing the app keeps crashing, yet I only get the same email every few weeks saying they are."reviewing" the problem and will advise me when a "fix" is available. If they can't fix it, I should receive monetary compensation for a feature that has stopped functioning.
When I was attempting to merge into the turning lane the car slowed down by itself and abruptly stopped in the middle of both lanes while a car was behind me.

Honda accord have recall, weight seat sensor, and the dealer is not fixing the issue it’s been almost a year
Honda letter from DMV that I have to do. My car registration says that there is a safety recall that the manufacture of Honda should’ve contacted me, but I have not received anything and it has not been fixed so now what?I’m
While I am driving I have experienced incidents where the (Automatic Brake System) AEB system engages unexpectedly, causing the car to brake hard without any obstruction or vehicle in front of me. This incident have happened on both highways and main roads. When my car unexpectedly breaks, sometimes I get a warning That Says Brake then the car Beeps and sometimes It won’t give a warning. Today when it happened it only braked once but like I said it happens unexpectedly. (2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5lt)
Nothing happened, I just want to know if my engine is a 1.5 or 2.0
Red Warning comes on: supplemental restraint system problem Warning has come 3-4 times in past 2 months
The car's automatic emergency breaking activates randomly when there are no objects in front of it. This is very dangerous as the car is often driving full speed when this happens. I have found that this happens most often when I am driving under something, like an overpass.
Steering sticks when driving straight. Additional pressure needed on steering input causing car to jerk left or right.
All of the lights on my dashboard come on every few hours and go off. Vehicle is losing power as I drive. Multiple people with this make and model have expressed their concerns of the same issue.

I was headed to work going 40-45mph, as I was going I felt my car shift out and my speed dropped to 25 automatically. My engine light popped up FLASHING. I could not accelerate my car above 25, leaving me late for work, I had to turn my hazard lights on so people could know something was wrong but I could have been hit from behind. My car did not give me any notifications from my car on the issue it could be having like usually, (oil change, tire rotation, spark plugs, etc.) After cranking my car again a few hours later, I noticed a difference in how it is cranking up. Honda dealership is wanting 150 to even look at the car for a possibility of repairs. I need to know exactly why it is happening and why a recall is not open if I have spoken to multiple people and they are having the same issues, all within this year.
My blinker won't appear on the dash. My trunk won't open. My back up camera won't come on at all. Can't adjust my exterior lights, stuck on the dimmest setting and can't change. Lights will also flicker and I have no control over it. My radio screen told me to enter a code but wouldn't allow me to. My break system light was on. There is warning reading adaptive cruise control see dealer, automatic emergency braking see dealer, lane departure warning see dealer. Doors locked and unlocked while driving. Air condition wasn't blowing the temperature it said, and acting as it was on low when it was on the highest setting. It is available for inspection upon request. I brought my car into a Honda dealership today. My car had to stay overnight because they were unable to address the problem. There were no prior problems or warnings beforehand. All these problems first appeared when I started my car for the first time on November 14, 2024. These put myself and others at risk because the doors locked and unlocked which could have caused us to get trapped in. The lights not working put me at risk at night because I could not see the road that good.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.
The vehicle's transmission stalls when trying to accelerate, causing unnecessary RPM fluctuations. While going downhill with the brakes applied, the RPM gauge spikes pass 4000 RPM causing the car to accelerate rather than slow down. when this occurs, extra pressure has to be applied onto the breaks to slow vehicle down. If enough space isn't given to the car Infront, pressing the break will cause a crash. Accelerating too fast on the highway will cause blown head gasket if transmission is stalling. This seems like a common issue with 1.5L engine & Honda's CVT transmission as other owners has been through similar issue & proven by independent service center. I've taken the vehicle to different dealer for inspection. only recommendation is transmission fluid change. Dealers refuse to do anything regarding the actual issue at hand.

The 1st thing that happened was that all the components of ADAS stopped working in the spring of 2023. All the warning lights turned on in the middle of my commute home from work. It was very intimidating because I thought the car was going to stall in the middle of the highway, so pulled over to the side. I contacted Honda dealership and they were going to charge me to diagnose the problem. So I went to Autozone and it diagnosed my problem as "System too rich (Bank 1)". I went to an independent mechanic and they had the same warning on their machine as Autozone. They tried replacing an oxygen sensor, that did not work in getting rid of the problem with all my warning lights turning on. Again the ADAS component lights turned on and the system did not work. The next thing they did was replace 4 fuel injectors. I have not had any issues with my car since concerning this problem with fuel too rich.
Supplemental RestraintSystem Problem warning keeps coming on. I have taken it in to the dealership and made them aware of this. However they keep telling me that when I take the vehicle in they don’t see anything wrong with it and that warning light isn’t on. I have been told to take it in when it stays on completely. It never stays on completely, it comes and it goes. Worried
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The emission control system, ABS, and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
CVT belt prematurely broke causing transmission failure on 2020 honda accord. Car has 93000 mile.
Have taken my car to dealership 3 separate times for all warning lights illuminated. Last time they replaced the transmission for a CVT belt prematurely breaking and all codes went away for one day. Now all are present again. Emmisions system warning, lane departure warning, cruise control warning, exc. Every single light never goes out. Just spent 6k on a car that had under 100,000 miles because I was told it was the transmission belt only to come home and have the exact issues happen. The day it was taken to the shop, it stalled in the road and almost caused an accident on a major highway. At this point, I'm afraid to drive it.
Rough start then temperature fluctuates. Coolant is disappearing cause a head gasket problem. This has been known for the 2018-2020 yrs Accord.
Everything malfunctioned lights flickering and glitching all over the dashboard, fuel rail pressure too low, in tank fuel pump has internal failure.
10 months after purchasing my vehicle from the dealership, all lights illuminated on the dash, it goes through each warning every time you crank. This would not go away. I took it to the honda dealership during a recall and they said they could not find the problem. Suddenly this week, after owning this car for 2 years and being told the issue could not be found, and only 90,000 miles, the car made a sudden stop on the road almost causing an accident. The car would not move forward or reverse. We had to have it towed to a dealership and waiting to hear issue. This is an extreme hazard! And I may be stuck with a costly bill once again, with no resolution.
The automatic emergency braking system malfunctioned on 7/18/24. I was driving approx. 20 mph on a local road and there was no vehicle, pedestrian, or other object in front of the car when unexpectedly the orange warning to brake came on and an instant later the car braked on its own and came to a complete stop in the middle of the road. Given the sudden and forceful stop, I went forward into the seat belt. Fortunately, there was not a vehicle behind me as I would have been rear ended putting both me and the people in the other vehicle in danger. I reported the incident to the dealer using their online system (I wanted to do it in writing, but could not find a direct email address), but have not heard back from them yet.
I was driving along the NJ Turnpike at approximately 65 miles an hour when the brake warning light started flickering on and off and then the brakes engaged. It was quick, as if I had stepped hard on the pedal. No vehicle was in front of me, but I was driving through the express EZ Pass lane. Later that same day, it happened again, but this time it was only as if someone tapped on the brakes. The brake light flashed then too. To answer the above questions: What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Collision Mitigation Braking System, and yes it is How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Someone could have rear-ended me Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The brake light warning flickered on before each instance
During medium acceleration the vehicle engine lost power and all the instrument panel warnings went off. Dealership said a blow head gasket. There are many threads online saying that there needs to be something done because the Honda 1.5 turbo motors are blowing head gaskets prematurely under 100k miles. Mine 2020 Accord has 108k and has been driven with care as I’m a middle aged male commuting to and from work with the car. Some sort of investigation needs to be done to show there is either a design flaw or a gasket flaw.
The collision mitigation braking system periodically activates when traveling on interstate highway when there is nothing in the roadway to cause this function to activate, causing the vehicle to stop suddenly then release which have caused potential rear-end accidents and possible injury to the driver r passenger due to the sudden stopping motion which propel the driver and passenger forward quickly without any warnings. Recently an warning error appeared to verify this malfunction. Which before 6/30 the warning error never appeared.
My car is less than 4 years old and only has 6623 miles. Already its leaking refringent from the condenser and Discharge Hose. Force Honda to fix the problem and reimburse car owners. Invoice cost is $10066.62 + tax
I was driving on a road that the car has been on hundreds of times. Flat, straight, dry road with no other cars around. The car all of a sudden braked very hard and the "BRAKE" light started flashing and beeping for about 3-4 seconds and then went off and then the brake fully released. It was like hitting an invisible wall and fighting to maintain control of the car at the same time. It came out of nowhere and was so shocking. There was nothing around me and no reason for the AEB system to be used. I can't tell you if my foot was pressing on the gas or had lifted to maintain speed. I do know that my foot was on or lifted above the gas pedal and nowhere near the brake. I am shocked it didn't cause an accident but I am guessing that is because I held tight to the steering wheel and possibly because there were no other cars around. I have severe whiplash, a major headache, backache and am very scared driving the car should it happen again. I have not gone to receive medical treatment yet but it is highly likely that I will need it. I will be contacting the dealership as well to discuss.
I am an 81 years old widow and am very afraid to drive my new 2020 Honda Accord. I am regularly experiencing an ongoing intermittent issue where my car stalls for no apparent reason. I've taken it to the Honda garage where I purchased it two times and no one seems to be able to satisfactorily address this concern. The first time I reported it to the shop (4/24/24), the technician didn't even pull it into the garage to investigate it. I assumed they would hook it to some diagnostic device and see if the cars computer would have some record of the fault. Instead, he jumped in, pushed some buttons relating to the lane keeping system (?) and claimed that would fix it, but it did not. I continue to experience the same problems. One example is when I take my car to the car wash, it stalls at the end and starts beeping. No matter what car wash I go to, it's the same awful experience, where they must shut down their equipment and come out to help me get the car restarted so as to get me out of the way and let everyone else out who are now stuck behind me (Very frightening and embarrassing). I've also had the car shut off after hitting some small potholes. It will shut down and requires a few attempts to get it restarted from the middle of the road!again - I then took it back to the Honda garage where I purchased it for a 2nd time (6/3/24) and for some other routine maintenance. This time they told me that maybe it was caused by my Toll-Road EZ-Pass which was mounted to my windshield near the rear view mirror. As you may imagine, I'm beginning to think the reason for the inability to address the issue is either intentional, incompetence, or perhaps I have a lemon..
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle began to shudder. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The message to see the dealer was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the low-pressure fuel pump and a high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed there was no recall coverage on the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was like NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
I've owned the car for over a year now, bought it for my daughter. 3 times the emergency braking system has gone off while driving for no reason. the last event happened while driving on a Hwy at 55 mph with no in front of her. The car slammed on the brakes, and the brake warning light went off, thankfully no one was behind her.
On [XXX] I took my elderly mother to physical therapy and the car began to randomly brake although there were no vehicles in front of me. The braking light flashed and then car brakes on its own. A week later I was driving approximately 55 mph on a major highway and the car started braking again but without the warning light. Again, there were no cars anywhere around me. The next day I went to the Honda dealership in Covington, LA because I am very concerned this will happen again unexpectedly when there are cars around me and it will result in a bad accident injuring myself or others. I was told he can keep my car all day but he said they probably could not recreate the issue so its just a waste of time. He said nothing he can do about it. That's just how it is and maybe it was from a bug passing the sensor. I know have to remember to turn off the feature every time I drive because I am terrified that it will randomly brake again and it may cause a serious accident. Bought the car back in 2020 after less than a year electrical problems caused the car to malfunction got it fixed and constantly after that more electrical problems changed the sensors and the car still continued to lose power. While driving on the highway the car completely lost strength and would not let me drive more than 25mph check engine light started blinking as well as all the lights LKAS ACC TPMS and more.
Vehicle engaged emergency brake by itself. Also in regards to current fuel delivery recall, Honda has yet to fix my recall saying they have not come up with the parts yet. This is my only vehicle that I bough to commute to work of 150 miles a day. The car stalls on the highway becoming more often than not and is hard to start sometimes.
This car brakes while we are driving while there is nothing in front. was reported to the dealer, they can not find the issue unless the carb does it, or I can turn off the program, but that is not a safe move.
Open highway traveling 50+ mph, changing lanes from middle to right. Car's emergency brakes turned on and slowed me down abruptly for about 1 full second. Thankfully no on was behind me and no one was hurt. I have had this car for 6 months and this has happened 2 other times.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed with no other vehicles nearby, the Forward Collision Warning system activated briefly, applying the Automatic Emergency Braking. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The brake alert warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA24002 (Forward Collision Avoidance Warning). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.
Collision mitigation message turned on, took it in to dealer and they said sensor was coming up as malfunction and not aligned so they aligned it. Although sensor was aligned emergency brake still brakes without an obstruction in front. It has happened on interstate highway at speed limit where speeds are at 75mph.
The hand/emergency brakes activated without me doing it while driving and had stayed on ever since. I had my mechanic look into it and he mentioned may be due to a defective sensor and advised to have the dealer look into it for recalls. I saw that the NHTSA is actually reporting on a similar issue. The car still has good brakes (pads and rotor) however the issue continues as it will randomly activate the emergency brakes.
CAR EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ACTIVATES WITH NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME THIS HAS HAPPEND TO ME 3 TIMES TODAY IT SLOWED ME DOWN TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE INTERSTATE AND TOOK A FEW SECONDS TO DISENGAGE WITH CARS SWERVING AROUND ME TO AVOID COLLISION THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the cruise control function failed, and the vehicle decelerated independently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at 25 MPH, the front driver's side air bag, the front passenger's side air bag, and the knee air bags were deployed unintendedly. Additionally, there was a significant amount of chemical smoke inside the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that she depressed the brake pedal to stop and exit the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the vehicle rolled for 30-40 seconds and stopped after hitting a bicycle pole. The contact stated that the front passenger's side seat was occupied by an adult and the rear seats were occupied by an adult and a baby in the car seat when the failure occurred. The passengers sustained body aches and ringing ears but did not seek medical assistance. The contact stated that she parked the vehicle, and then all the passengers and she exited the vehicle for a moment. No police report was filed. The contact then drove to the residence. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed and repaired under warranty; however, the dealer informed the contact that they would not service the vehicle under warranty because they believed the air bags deployed due to an impact. The dealer then towed the vehicle to an autobody repair shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V064000(Air Bags), which she related to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Automatic Emergency Braking system engaged without any vehicle or person in front of my car. I was driving at about 40 mph and the brakes slammed on and then after a few seconds released How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? On [XXX] while driving my vehicle my car would not accelerate over 30 MPH and following that all of my lights came on my dash Emission system problem, ACC, Collision mitigation braking system problem, road departure mitigation problem just to name a few. I proceeded to return home and not drive my car until I could take it to the dealership the following business day. In the meantime, I did research on what had happen to my car and also did a recall search on the make and model of my car and saw that 2018-2020 Honda Accord Sedan had an open recall with a date of 12/18/2023, recall #[XXX] described as 2018-20 Accord 2.0T Fuel Pump Mtr Saf Recall Exp2. I took my car on [XXX] to Team Honda in Baton Rouge, LA where I purchased the car on to have a diagnostic test done. I was told my fuel pump system needed to be replaced but my car did not fall under the recall so I would be responsible for the cost. However, I could contact American Honda to see if they would assist. I called American Honda and was advised they don't know why the dealership told me to call them because my car is not on the recall list even though my car has been diagnosed with the recall issue and they would not cover the repair cost. I am wanting to dispute this matter and request that my repairs be covered. I have been told by the dealership that this is a safety issue and can leave me stranded so to not receive any assistance to cover the repair cost for a known issue for the year, make and model of my vehicle is unacceptable. For some reason the vehicle shift gets stuck in the park position. After continuous tries, it eventually goes into gear. Apparently, there is something wrong with the transmission and should be covered by warranty.
The ANC module malfunctions already at only 67000 miles and causes a humming noise which is very annoying when driving. The ebreak also malfunctions during cold weather conditions. I have had to restart the car due to the electronic parking break not working properly. In case of an emergency I might need it and it may malfunction.
all the lights on my dashboard turned on including the check engine light. Upon scanning for codes, I got a code that stated that fuel system is too rich. Upon further investigation, I was told by a mechanic that hondas with a 1.5 turbo have been having issues with the fuel injectors and that they need to be replaced. My car had 50,000 miles when the issue first started.
At least once a month with lane keep assist on, and a vehicle in the lane to my right, an emergency braking maneuver happens automatically. I have to disconnect the system
Check engine, right mirror, door, alignment. My safety is not good, the car jerks and merging into another lane. Yes it has been inspected by insurance representative. It appeared when I was hit on 02/13/2024
I received a recall notice that there is a safety recall on my vehicle for a circuit board under the PASSENGER seat. Manufacturer Recall #XHP, NHTSA recall number 24V064. I utilize my vehicle to provide a source of income. My local dealership informed me after I called them that there was currently no remedy to the problem. This is a major inconvenience that now I can no longer make the extra income I need. Does this problem affect my vehicle as a whole? Is this really a safety problem? I need documentation stating this is not a SAFETY recall, thank you.
An UNKNOWN SYSTEM or the FOB recently started causing the vehicle's trunk to unlock and/or windows to roll down. This presents SAFETY and THEFT issues since someone could enter the car or trunk without the owner/driver being aware of their presence. Also, the trunk popping open while driving is a distraction and blocks the view through the rear window. We traded a previous year's model of the same vehicle due to the same problem. The trunk light comes on if the trunk opens while the vehicle is in operation, but there is no way to know the trunk is open if the car is parked.
The driver’s seat continues to move (keeps adjusting) while I’m driving

Car stalled on me on the highway
While driving at highway speeds, the vehicles steering becomes locked in place requiring a substantial amount of force to turn with the road causing the car to jerk which then cause me to over correct. There are no warning lights that have come on. The vehicle has less then 60k miles. The problem has been reproduced by a Honda dealer. They stated that they don't know how the steering rack could have failed.
The contact's father owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that following a short drive, the vehicle was parked on the street. The contact said that neighbors tried to alert him that the vehicle was on fire. The contact is hearing impaired and did not hear his neighbors knocking on his door. The fire department was called by a third party and extinguished the flames. The contact stated that the fire department left a note on her father's front door explaining that the fire had started under the driver's side front tire wheel well, then proceeded down the driver's side and was extinguished using water by the driver's side rear wheel well. The right passenger side of the vehicle was not damaged by the fire. There were no injuries. The fire department wrote a report and determined that the fire was an electrical system failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not informed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

Rear brakes wearing before front brakes
Vehicle was being driven at 38 mph on a road with no other vehicles, bicyclists, pedestrians or other obstructions in sight when the "BRAKE" warning flashed on the dashboard and the brakes were immediately engaged, causing a hard stop. Had there been a vehicle following, it is likely that a rear end collision would have occurred.
2020 Honda Accord Sport 19,000 miles, driving slowly in neighborhood, automatic brake system engaged and slammed the car to a stop without cause. No obstacles no other vehicle. I have an apt for dealership to inspect. I discovered this has been reported by other owners when I researched online The consumer stated that they are no comfortable driving the car since Honda cannot identify the issue with the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the messages "Lane Departure. See Dealer", "Engine Problem See Dealership”, “High Beam Problem. See Dealer" and other unknown messages were displayed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an unknown fuse was replaced; however, the vehicle started temporarily but the failure recurred. The dealer diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed to a transmission specialist, where the transmission was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V771000 (Electrical System, Back Over Prevention, Visibility/Wiper, Visibility, Exterior Lighting); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist due to the mileage on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.
Upon removing the driver seat belt after a trip today, I noticed the buckle release button was sticking down. I re-inserted the buckle, and heard the "click" sound indicating the buckle was securely fastened. I applied tension on the belt buckle, which released without pressing the button! I searched the internet for recalls, and found the 2018-2019 Honda Accord was recalled for a seat belt release button repair. However, there was no information about a recall for the 2020 model year, which I experienced this issue with. My safety has been put at risk as I am unsure how long the belt buckle has been able to be removed without pressing the buckle release button. I have not yet contacted Honda about the concern. A video is available and this issue is repeatable. There were no warning messages. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
The fuel injectors on the vehicle failed prematurely, causing all safety features on the vehicle to disable, including front end collision detection, power steering, ABS, etc. Additionally, I was told by the dealer that this problem could cause the vehicle to unexpectedly go into an idle mode. Honda currently has no parts available and no plans to repair the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Mitigation Braking System notification message displayed, and the brake pedal was depressed but the pedal remained on the floorboard. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated from 65 MPH to 15 MPH before abruptly stopping. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
As I was driving down the main road at 45 mph, no cars, animals or people anywhere around me, my 2020 Honda Accord Sport automatic braking system HARD BRAKED out of nowhere for no apparent reason! Thankfully there were no cars behind me or there would have been a crash!
Loud, audible grinding noise when braking, usually in reverse. Sounds like metal on metal. Drove vehicle to dealer today, was told this is a common problem, Honda is aware. Awaiting recall, etc. Issue is very distracting, especially in a parking lot. Issue also occasionally happens when slowing to a stop at low speeds.

This is the third Accord I've owned, and none of them have been issue-free, but this one (2020) is the worst. I bought this car in March of 2021 with only 6 miles on it. Within a week it started to throw occasional notifications, which I called the dealership and asked about. They assured me that it was just a hiccup and to bring it in for a factory reset. They performed this reset, and the car appeared to be fine after that. BUT - Less than two weeks later, it started showing the four LKAS/CMBS lights and dash prompts - brake system problem, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system, and adaptive cruise control system 'problems', each saying 'see your dealer'. Made an appointment to bring it back in, and on my way to the dealership - having the car for only one month at this point - I was rear-ended by a pick-up truck at the red light turning onto the dealership street (he admitted he wasn't paying attention). Long story short, the car was repaired, Honda factory specs were (supposedly) restored, set and verified, and my car was returned to me. It was fine until about another month later, when it started to show the alerts again - more frequently than before. Contacted the dealer again, asked for troubleshooting assistance again, and they said they were booked. I took this time to look for this issue on-line, and found many incidents of other Accord owners experiencing these same issues plus several others (of which I also had a few - namely, the fuel delivery system frequently acting like it is running out of gas) - most saying no matter how long the service shop had their car, the issue did not get fixed. NOT ONE. I could not afford to be without my car for an extended period of time, so I continued my research, seeing that none of the owners got resolution by the dealers, so I resolved to just 'live with the issues' as the actual car drove fine (except for the fuel issue). It happens every day.
235/40R19 is the tire size. All 4 tires were purchased in October of 2021 and at that time the vehicle had 34,014 miles on it. I purchased the Firestone Firehawk tires model 004349 Firehawk AS BL XL 96V, with a 50k limited thread life warranty. Now, on 02/03/2023, I went in for my routine scheduled tire rotation and oil change and was advised I need all new 4 tires. The technician brought me to the vehicle and showed me that the sidewall in the side facing under the vehicle has major separation, cracking, and metal showing through along the time and bead/sidewalk of the tire. This damage was on all four tires and at multiple areas along the rim base. The technician said he never seen tires do this on all four at the same time but offered no explanation as to how or why this happened. All they could do was prorate the existing thread life warranty but nothing else. I explained to the technician that this wasn’t a thread life issue and it was a major defect in these tires to separate and crack like they did on all four tires. I told him this could have caused a 4 tire blowout and was a huge safety concern that needed to be addressed with Firestone corporation. Nonetheless, they brushed it off and offered new tires or I could take the car like it was and go elsewhere. I again told them these tires were only 16 months old and 38k miles on them and that they should not have failed like they did, especially not all 4 at the same time. One tire I could understand, but all four of the same brand tire installed at the same time failed. So with no real other options to go elsewhere, as it was already past 5pm on a Friday and I lived an hour away, I had no choice but to purchase tires there, as my safety and the safety of others around me could be seriously injured or killed if I left driving on those damaged tires. I’ve included pictures of two of the tires as they had already lowered the car down so I couldn’t take the other 2. Both invoices are attached as well.
When driving, the steering wheel sticks and you almost have to jerk the steering wheel over when not going in a straight line. I have seen that people with Hondas have been having similar issues for years. This is a safety concern because I have a 16 year old learning how to drive and she is unable to drive the car straight due to the issue with the steering. I refuse to pay to have this issue resolved when it seems to be something that occurs, and has been occurring, in Accords.
I was driving on the freeway when the car started to break on its own and also indicting to brake as if there was something in front of me too close. But there was no car in front of me or beside me. The car breaking on its own was a major safety hazard since I was on freeway and driving about 65 mph. If a car would have been right behind me I would have been rear ended. I did take car to the dealership and let them know what had happened. And they told me I would have to take car in for a diagnostic appointment and the problem would have to happen while tech is driving car so they could look into it. This has happened to me a total of 3 times.
Automatic 45mph to zero breaking with no cars or objects in sight. Almost caused a rear end collision due to faulty and unnecessary automatic breaking.
On the morning of Nov 1, 2022, I was driving on an open rural highway in cool, clear weather with no other vehicles on the road. Suddenly I heard an explosive crashing sound followed immediately by the sound of broken glass falling. I was afraid to stop right there because a few years ago, there were several vehicles hit by rifle fire not far from me in northern Colorado. As I drove, I felt a little air flow, as if a back window was partly open. When I came to a parking lot for a hiking trailhead, there were other vehicles in the lot and I felt safe to pull over. Examination showed that the sunroof on my car had shattered. Luckily, I had the sunscreen closed, or I would have gotten a face full of broken glass while traveling 55 mph. I reported to the sheriff. We tried to imagine what could have happened. I actually wondered if a random piece of meteorite had fallen from the sky, but there was no foreign object along with the broken glass. I filed an insurance claim. The damage has been repaired. I was not injured, but certainly shaken up because of the close call. Later I learned that other sunroofs have shattered spontaneously. I believe there should be a safety recall.
Three times in one day the emergency braking system has gone on automatically for no apparent reason. We were not at risk but are concerned we will be put at risk. There was no warning. We have not taken it in but will do so asap
I put in a complaint before and the problem still persists. I’ve been to Honda over 10 times and they claim they cannot recreate it which is just a tactic to not repair the issue. Seems A LOT of other Honda owners are having this issue which is the gear box. There are multiple years affected including 2018-2020. The steering wheel sticks while trying to drive straight. No issues with turns. The steering wheel will hold in the straight position and when trying to drive straight and ease with the road the wheel will not turn even the slightest without some force which causes you to overcorrect. It is VERY dangerous and I don’t know why Honda is not recalling the problem parts. I bought my car new and never had an issue until the second month I drove the car. 3 years later and over 10 visits to Honda and it’s still happening. Please PUSH Honda to fix this issue ASAP!!!!
I am writing this letter to complaint about a major defect for my vehicle as the Honda dealership located at 1036 Jericho Turnpike , Huntington NY doesn’t want to resolve as the vehicle is still under the manufactory warranty. The defect / problem involves the emergency brake release switch located in the center console area . I reported the defect / problem and hoped that Honda would honor the manufactory warranty under 36, 000 mile policy to replace an or repair any defects without cost to the consumer . However I was informed that payment in the amount of seven hundred and fifty dollars would be needed to resolve / repair the problem/ defect. I was told that the clip that hold the switch/ device to the center comnsole were broken and it is the current owner problem to resolve as it not covered. Just imagine how could I be responsible for a broken clip , when you look at the picture its clearly not a owner error but rather a defect in the workmanship to properly secure switch to the console . I want Honda to honor the under 36, 000 mile manufactory warranty policy and fix this problem without having me as a consumer to pay . Attached are the pictures of the emergency switch resisting inside the center console as no visible damage to the supporting outside structure .
I purchased a 2020 Honda Accord in 9/2020 brand new. Within one month I started having brake issues. It felts like shuttering. I took it back to Honda service department; they stated the rotors need to be shaved a little. This did take care of the problem for about 8 months to year. I then started having the exact same sensation when braking at low speeds and worse at high speeds. I took it back to Honda (living in a different state) they said tech forgot to look at the brakes (it was there for oil change and tire rotation too) schedule to bring back and apologized. I scheduled a new appointment about 2 weeks out. They have my car all day and state they could not duplicate the problem. Service advisor states they believe it's happening at high speed/brakes heat-up was it okay for Service Manager to drive home because he lives a distance away. I did not feel comfortable with that, so he said to just drop by when I'm out and it's happening that a mechanic would get in the car with me to see if he feels the problem. I work Monday-Friday 8-5, I can't just stop in I explained. I was out of town over the weekend on I-95 going around 74mph and cars in front of me start hitting their brakes to slow down for traffic ahead we were on a slight curve in the road, my car starts shaking uncontrollably and giving that shuttering feeling then the brakes lock up. Thank goodness the car behind me was able to move into the slow lane and not rearend me at a deadly speed. My neck is still hurting from the locking of the brakes at such a high speed. I called Honda yesterday and scheduled to bring it back in again for the 4th time. I explained I will not take this car back without something being done to these brakes. At this point I feel it's a death trap. Let's see what happens Wednesday.
Passenger front seatbelt stopped engaging. No damage — stopped working in between routes. Cause UNKNOWN— malfunction of manufacturer
Driving on the freeway when the sunroof just exploded. there was nothing that hit us as there was no vehicle in close vicinity to us. Thankfully we had the cover closed or it could of resulted in personal injury from people inside and additional damage.
The lane departure has two separate problems with both happen frequently, these are not one-time problems. 1. The system seems to pull the vehicle in the wrong direction. For example, if you the car starts to deft to the left, and makes contact with the left lane line, it feels like the pressure exerted on the steering wheel, or the drivetrain itself, actually pulls the vehicle further left. This has the completely opposite effect of what is intended. This is not 100% of the time. Sometimes lane departure does nude the vehicle back towards the center of the lane as expected. 2. The vehicle cannot safely determine lane markings. It frequently mistakes tar lines on the road as a lane line and attempts to correct the vehicle's course. The vehicle also does not know how new lanes/ending lanes work. It will often see a new lane line, from a lane newly added to the road (like when a lane splits into two), as a lane departure and will direct the vehicle to one of the two lanes regardless of driver steering. Each time this happens I have to be aware and manually steer the car where I want to go, fighting against the lane departure system. The car is available for inspection and has not been inspected by Honda.
Driving slowly down a residential street during daylight hours and suddenly there was a loud noise and the passenger side side view mirror exploded. There wasn’t an accident of any kind - the car had not come inti contact with anything and there was no other damage except the actual glass part of the mirror was completely gone. There were no scratches or other damage to the rest of the mirror assembly or the car and no evidence that anyone had thrown anything at the car. The car was driven immediately to the Honda dealer and they insisted that there must have been an accident and refused to cover the damage. A brief internet search revealed others with the same make and model had experienced the exact same thing. I strongly believe this is a manufacturing defect and it is a safety issue because the sound of the explosion was startling and there was broken glass flying around and now the car side view mirror is missing.
On 5/10/22, at approximately 43K miles, while driving my Accord on the interstate in a construction zone, the car lost engine power. Multiple warnings were displayed and lights flashed on the dash. I coasted and was fortunately able to find and safely pull into the berm, while vehicles sped by at 65-mph. From the berm, I attempted to accelerate but the car would not exceed 5-10 mph, and rumbled horribly. For over an hour, I sat and waited for a tow and had it towed to the nearest Honda dealer. Service began the afternoon of 5/10. Near closing time, they determined that the issue was the low pressure fuel pump. Remarkably, my VIN was not included in the 2020 Accord Fuel Pump Recall. Makes you wonder. Service would be completed on 5/11 (one night spent in hotel). On 5/11, the low pressure fuel pump was replaced. By day's end, there were still problems (night two in a hotel). Around noon on 5/12, and after what they described as many phone calls with Honda engineers, they determined the high pressure fuel pump needed replacement. I rented a car and drove home. They replaced the high pressure fuel pump and by 5:00 PM on 5/13 called and said the car was ready for pick up. Total cost for fuel pumps and labor was $1,100, which was mostly and finally compensated after hours of debate with Honda Customer Service. Lost were tow cost, 3-days of work, 2-hotel nights and the cost of the rental car. What good are warning lights when they all seem to illuminate at once? What good are safety messages when they all you to see a dealer? What good is any of this when your car loses power and you are stranded on a busy interstate?
On 9/1/22, 8,600 miles after losing all power on the interstate, being stranded and having the car towed to the nearest dealer, paying for the tow, spending 2-nights in a hotel, renting a car to get home and having both the high pressure and low pressure fuel pumps replaced, my 2022 Honda Accord had yet another problem. After starting the car in a parking lot, 8-warning lights flashed and 9-12 warning messages were displayed. Since a very familiar situation happened 8,600 miles ago, I was very hesitant to drive anywhere, however, in the situation before, the car would not accelerate. In this instance, it would. I drove 10-miles to the nearest Honda dealer avoiding interstates. The dealer did a quick computer scan. The fault code (among others) was a P0172, "Fuel Mixture Too Rich". The tech said the problem is most likely fuel injector related. He assured me that it would be safe to drive another 30-miles to a dealer closer to my residence. I made it to the dealer safely and it turns out that the fuel injectors need replacing. Total cost will be $1,800. Could the fuel pump issues damaged the injectors? As mentioned in my prior complaint, what good are warning lights when 8-illuminate at once. What good are safety messages when they all tell you to see a dealer? How are owners supposed to understand the gravity of a malfunction?
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated without warning. The contact stated that after several minutes the vehicle started to operate as needed. On another occasion, while driving 35 MPH, the brake assist activated independently causing the vehicle to brake suddenly. On another occasion, while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start-up after several attempts. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 62,000.
when I am driving, there is no car in front of my car. Brake warning flash and randomly slam on the brakes without the I touching the brake pedal.
This has happened more than one time. The first time it happened I was going down a 2 lane road no one in front or back of me and I was going 65 with my cruise set and the car slams on break and stays blink break on the dash. The second time it happened i was going down a 2 lane road at 45 no one around and it slams on breaks really hard and blinked break across the dash.
Driving on the interstate going about 60mph with no one in front of me or behind me and the car brakes by itself. This is the fourth time this vehicle has randomly brake
I brought my vehicle into the dealer for a recall software problem and to fix an oil leak coming from the valve cover. They replace the valve cover gasket and performed the software recall. As of now it still shows that my vehicle still needs the software recall. One week later after the oil leak repair, a massive oil leak formed at the valve cover causing oil to cover my engine bay and exhaust causing a burning smell and possible fire risk. Every weekend we drive out of state to tournaments and I was unaware of the leak. I brought it back to the dealer and they said it was residual oil from the previous repair. I was skeptical but believed them. One week later the same massive oil leak and problem occurred in my engine bay and driveway. Having no confidence in the dealer and being an ASE certified master mechanic, I decided to fix the problem myself by replacing the plastic valve cover assembly. I remove the old valve cover and found it to be extremely warped not providing a proper seal. The first time I brought my car into the dealer the service advisor said this is the second one this week that we’ve seen. I have a hard time believing that my vehicle is the only problem with this. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service from the dealership and the lack of concern that my life and my sons life was put in danger with a fire risk. I am currently seeking reimbursement for the part that I paid out-of-pocket. About US$150.
The harness isn’t secured. It doesn’t click or fasten. We’ve had this car seat for about two months
The ANC (active noise cancellation) software is not up to date. It's causing a loud, uncomfortable booming or humming noise from speakers while driving. 2018-2021 models are having the same issue. Many honda accord sport 1.5 or 2.0 owners I talk to are experiencing the same problem. And are being told by local Honda dealerships they don't see any issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH and accelerating, the vehicle experienced phantom braking and abruptly stopped. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was experienced several times within a two-month period. The contact was able to continue driving the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. Neither the manufacturer nor the dealer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.
Purchased new 2020 Honda Accord on September 28, 2020. On October 13, 2020 I was pulling into a parking space at a retail store. Going 2 or 3 miles per hour with foot on brake turning into space on my right with steering wheel turned to the right. Suddenly engine roared and car would not stop even with my foot firmly on the brake until it hit a pole. I have since learned it is called unintended acceleration. After crash I drove car to another parking spot. Car was in park and I was on the phone and all of a sudden engine roared - same sound when crash occurred. Honda sent their investigator out and told me all car functions were ok. Car was repaired for $7000.00 On June 1, 2022 the same exact thing occurred as I was pulling into a parking spot on my right with steering wheel turned to the right. As the first incident engine suddenly roared and with my foot firmly on the brake car would not stop until it crashed into the store concrete wall. This car has something wrong with it. There are other stories out there with same story as people are parking the car. The car was towed to a collision shop and I am going to the Honda Dealer I purchased it from to insist this car is a danger to me and others and I cannot drive this any longer. I first wanted to report this before I did anything else.
Today I was driving my Honda (Accord 2020) about 30 to 40 miles an hour and suddenly the car decided to brake for i guess a fraction of a second. It is hard to describe but literally felt that someone slam on the brakes. I also got the brake alarm and the sign on the dashboard "BRAKE" (orange sign). I was taken by surprise, even my wife asked me, what was I doing?. It was only a moment, but it was totally unexpected, lucky for me, there was no one in front or behind me. If you have questions please contact me at [XXX] or [XXX]. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Since purchased I’ve had to replace the rear break pads 3 times and the vehicle only had 79,000 miles. Front break pads have not been replaced. It seems to be going through break pads too quickly especially for the back breaks.
My front brake rotors needed to be re-turned at 22.6K miles. Based on my light-footed driving habits and general ownership experience, I think this is a very premature failure. I asked Honda Customer Service if they would consider this as a warranty repair, but they denied my request, saying it was normal wear-and-tear. In my opinion, Honda has used a substandard component or design that causes rotors to fail prematurely. This is supported by other reports of similar failure in the NHTSA database. I think that this failure could eventually present itself as a serious safety-related defect if left uninvestigated. I would urge NHTSA to look into the matter.
Purchased as a new vehicle. Brakes went from operating normally to grinding and worn without warning around 20K miles. Pads replaced but no relief. Car was taken to dealership for service and rotors were turned. Vehicle operated fine after rotors were turned for approximately 2K miles then the same issue again. There is definitely a design issue with the braking system or rotor material. I have never had this many brake issues with any vehicle - new or used. The issue has caused increased braking distance and uncertainty around the reliability of the Accord braking system.
The vehicle automatically turned on the forward collision mitigation system when there was nothing to avoid. Vehicle went from 55mph to 20mph in about 2 seconds. Fortunately there was no vehicle approaching from behind. I had no control over trying to override the braking system. Had vehicle checked at Honda dealership & was informed there was nothing they could do other than make a note of the issue.
CMS - collision mitigation system stops working completely. 2 warning lamps on dash. Cruise control completely inoperative. Vehicle was initially inspected by dealer on 11/19/21with DTC U0401-92 - Temporary stop of integrated driver support system (rejected control request), also found U0416-68 VSA system malfunction. This issue happens every 1-3 thousand miles. Also with the CMS/braking system, it will alert "brake" on dash and brake hard if encountering repetitive shadows from objects that are cast onto the road. My safety and others safety were compromised due to hard braking and cars behind me that then had to brake, nearly rear-ending my car.
Driving on a two lane highway suburban area - 40 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed limit. No cars in front of me for at lease 1/2 mile - totally blank and clear road. A pick up truck behind me. Very little traffic. Suddenly without warning and knowing my foot is on the accelerator, the car brakes to a complete stop with no foot on the brake pedal! Complete random braking for no reason. Luckily the vehicle behind me was far enough and not too close which allowed him to swerve and avoid colliding into me. He passed me and probably thought I was crazy. I called Honda and they told me to bring it in which I did. They performed many tests in all areas and advised they could not locate anything wrong. I know there is an ongoing investigation with Honda Accords and dangerous random breaking, thus the reason for this incident to be documented. The general manager of the dealership was in touch with me and advised he would be doing some research. I could easily have been killed if not for quick thinking of the vehicle behind me, and also luckily no car in front of me. What do you advise? This is extremely disconcerting to know it could happen again.
At approximately 9,000 miles I noticed a steering problem with my accord. It started very subtle over a few weeks. Driving at a speed over 50 mph, the steering wheel felt as if it was sticking when trying to turn slightly to the right or left. It became more and more noticeable to a point where I did not feel safe driving it on the interstate at high speeds. When it would stick, I had to pull the wheel harder to the right or left to release it, making me feel I would over correct and run off the road or into another car. The problem was very noticeable after about 30 minutes of driving when the car was warmed up, and at a speed greater than 50 mph. The steering was normal at low speeds during slower traffic in town. The dealership duplicated the problem and replaced the car steering rack. This corrected the problem.
If I have the lane keeping assistance on and go through an intersection the car beeps BREAK!!
Several times my car has slammed the brakes on its own when I have not touched the brakes and also when there is no car in front of me for it to detect the need to brake. The most recent time on 4/8 on the freeway.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the tire pressure warning light and brake system warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the driver assists cruise control system, emergency brakes system, collision prevention system, and electrical steering assist all failed at the same time. The contact stated that the safety assist features became disabled but returned after the vehicle was restarted; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the failure occurred more frequently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
I was driving at a slow speed (10-15mph) when my brakes automatically engaged. After the car stopped I began to accelerate and the brakes engaged again. There wasn’t any reason for the brakes to engage.
On 3/24/22 while driving on the freeway at 65mph my car stopped suddenly. The ABS alert appeared on the dashboard and it made me swerve my car, also in the afternoon when getting off the freeway the ABS system alert appeared and my car braked suddenly there was no car or person in front of me at that time either it stopped so hard the car behind me had to swerve.
I experienced phantom breaking while driving to work on 03/02/2022. I was driving on the right most lane before entering into north bound 101 highway when my 2020 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T abruptly stopped, there was no car or object in front of the car, and luckily there was no car behind me, otherwise I would have been hit and injured. A few days later, I brought the car to Capitol Honda dealer for checkout, but dealer could not find any problem. I have not driven my Honda Accord much during the past two years as I mostly work from home due to Covid-19 and my car has only 2800 miles when this incident happened. Since this is the 1st time I encountered phantom breaking, I would like to report the incident as I am concerned that it might happen again in the future.
Hi, Monday I bought a 2020 used certified Honda accord with approx 19k miles that is presenting problems with the electric steering box. considering the vehicle that I traded in for this, an 2019 honda civic had the same part replaced under warranty at approx 28k miles and my accord has similarities to that problem. today 03/02/22, I took my car to the dealer but the technician said couldn't see the problem. the problem is: in an intermittent way while driving, the steering wheel tends to do micro jumps instead of smooth moving. also, today driving at highway speeds (70, but it happens at different speeds) I noticed while making a very smooth right curve it got "stick" in the position it was forcing me to apply a little more strength to have it centered again instead of just letting it go by itself. I have mechanical knowledge and I can affirm there's something wrong with it once I already checked alignment and suspension parts and everything seems good. now, the problem is, the dealership doesn't see it and I'm concerned about having an accident or something. I work as a delivery driver in this car and I need it for making my living. Intermittent problems are complicated especially to be noticed/caught. but not less important, I fear for my life and other people's life on the road. I'm also contacting honda about this because there are other cars out there with similar problems. It's my second honda and I'm very disappointed. They need to add a heat shield or something similar between the steering box and the exhaust on their turbo-charged engines. Turbo engines produce great power and also heat. that might be damaging their car's steering system over time. I saw reports where people say they have it replaced 3 times already. anyways, I hope someone can help me with this issue. I'll also leave a link where people are discussing the same problem: https://www.accordxclub.com/threads/steering-issue-jumps-from-center.2144/ if you search. there is even more. Thank you.
Multiple times while driving the emergency braking has engaged briefly. At first I thought it was detecting something in the road or a vehicle to the side of my car. That is not the case. It will apply this brake no matter what is in front of or around me. I have not noticed it doing it on secondary roads but it does it on highways and the interstate. This has created an unsafe situation many times.
Five times over two years, the collision mitigation system has activated while the car was in motion but no object was in front of the car. Three minor activations, meaning a brief yellow glow on the dash, have occurred. Two more significant activations have also occurred with a yellow rectangle on the dash with the word BRAKE visible. The most serious activation was at highway speeds. I was concerned that the car was going to automatically brake on the highway. I have returned this two year old car to the dealership multiple times for evaluation and have found little motivation on the part of the dealership to deal with this problem and other more minor problems the car is demonstrating. I consider the above complaint to be potentially life-threatening. I will not drive in this car unless the collision mitigation is turned off.
With seemingly no impediments ahead of it our 2020 Honda Accord will suddenly brake forcefully when changing lanes or exiting the freeway. it is not constant, but it is scary since there is no reason to brake at this point. this could cause us to be rear-ended the thing this system is supposed to keep us from doing. the dealer says unless it occurs when they drive it, unless, unless. The 'advisor' said he had heard of a few examples. they are all over the internet. What is being done to address this issue? oh, and he mentioned that we could always turn it off. we bought this car because being in our sixties and reflexes not necessarily being what they once were we wanted to avoid hitting someone from behind. this has happened on dozens of occasions. the listed date was the last.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while entering a parking lot at 10 MPH, he started to hear an abnormal noise. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact continued driving the vehicle but shortly after the drive shaft fractured. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the driveshaft to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated the passenger’s side front windshield was distorted and replaced by dealer. The replacement windshield is worse than the original. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the windshield needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted but, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,731. On January of 2021 I called again and was told that my case had been closed. I asked that the case be reopened. On February 9, 2022, dealer said that Honda refuses to replace the windshield and that I have no recourse.
While early driving in early December 2021 in my almost new car (7000+ miles) most all the lighted problems that could occur with an old vehicle lit up like a Christmas tree on the dashboard. Most of the items may or may not have actually quit working but their problem lights stayed on. Still it is no fun driving without cruise when your wife has breast cancer and you have have to drive 3 hours each way to Gainesville, Florida for treatment. I assume all the warning lights functions still worked, but it is hard to tell if things like the brakes were pr were not working when driving as they seemed to work fine. So I soon afterwards took the car into the dealer on December 11, 2021 in Leesburg, Florida. But by this time all the dash lights remained off as they are supposed to. So all they did was change the oil and did non-compliance recall BMC software update 20-039 and BGCM software update. The reason I brought the car in was not specified on my invoice. However, The dealer did say that my transponder for the EZ highway system was blocking the camera on the mirror. I believed them. Since then, however, today all the cash lights again said they were crashing again just before a 2-hour drive to the Gainesville cancer hospital. Upon return the lights went back to normal. I don't believe Honda dealers know what the problem is or why it continues in many millions of similar Hondas. My research on the Internet found at different complaints about said dashboard lights crashing causing similar problems. Most of these complaints had the dealers fix "the problem" and charging fees but again the customers reported do-over same problems.
The brake system failed. I received an error message indicating "electric parking brake system problem. Parking break not available. See your dealer". All of the ABS messages, cruise control, etc. appear and say, "see your dealer". My safety was put at risk because the break automatically starts without me even pushing the break. This happens without any given notice and appears before the message occurs. This happens while vehicles are behind me on main roads and also happens while on the highway going a high rate of speed (speed limit). There is nothing that can be done to stop it manually. The car stops on its own. No, I will be scheduling a dealer appointment, since the issues continues to occur. No, the message appears after the issue starts.
My husband had an collision on the November 11 2020 at 9 pm with deer hit. All the airbag deploy accept the Driver airbag didn't deploy even the car was total loss. My husband hit the chin on the steering and he is complaining that his jaw is hurting.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH, the steering wheel was difficult to maneuver while the electric power steering and steering assist reduced errors illuminated and the power steering warning light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired, and the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000. The VIN was not available.
REAR TIRE BRAKES STARTED MAKING A SCREECHING NOISE DAYS AFTER TAKING THE BRAND NEW CAR OUT OF THE LOT. THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP. THEY "INSPECTED" THE CAR AND CALLED ME BACK THAT THE CAR IS FINE. THE CAR CONTINUES TO MAKE THE SCREECHING NOISE AND IT FEELS UNSAFE. THE CAR WAS NEW OFF THE LOT AND SHOULD NOT BE MAKING NOISES. I AM LOST AS TO WHAT ELSE TO DO.
The contact owned a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, the airbags deployed without incident and without warning. Due to the shock of the failure, the contact also stated that she then rear-ended an unknown obstacle on the road. Due to the failure, the contact stated that she was disoriented as a fellow motorist called authorities to the scene. The contact was arrested at the scene of the failure for reckless driving. After the contact’s release from jail, she sought medical treatment for a shattered sternum, a broken right thumb, and a hematoma on her left leg. The vehicle was towed from the scene as it was deemed a total loss. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
On August 7th, I was driving on I 75 South at highway speed ( 75 -70) and I felt the steering wheel begin to move from side to side. After approximately 5 mins of my steering wheel moving from side to side but very subtle, then my car veered to the left lane and then to the right lane. At this point, I had no control of my car. My car was swerving from one lane to the next. I attempted to press the brake to gain control of my car and that made it worse. I gently took my feet off the gas and I felt that I had some control of my car after a few seconds. I went to the right lane and pulled over to the media. I checked my tires and they look fine. I took my car to Honda and they couldn't find anything wrong with my car. I want to know what's wrong with my car because I don't feel safe in this car. I could have killed myself or someone else.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the parking brake light was illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that liquid from the cup holder might have gotten into the parking brake and caused the sensor light to illuminate. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. The VIN was unavailable.
While travelling at highway speeds, rainy weather, the engine completely shut down. Engine light illuminated. Did not want to pull over on shoulder so glided to exit ramp. Turned vehicle off and then restarted with no issues. Drove approximately 150 miles to nearest Honda dealer. They inspected and said 'no diagnostic code' was registered. I took to my dealer and they tried to recreate but could not. They also found no codes. Had my family in car when full power loss. Very dangerous situation. I immediately activated the flashers. Drove in the right lane of interstate highway rest of way to dealer and home.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 70 mph while attempting to pass another vehicle, the check engine warning light was illuminated and the vehicle went into limp mode. The contact was able to exit the highway and park safely. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with a misfire on cylinders 1 and 4. The local dealer reset the code. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,762.
Both my wife and I have multiple dates and time experienced issues of CMBS Collision Mitigation Braking System, we would be driving with no traffic near us or with in hundreds of feet in front of us that the system would flash "brake" on the dash and then start slowing the vehicle down. Also the Front and rear brakes pads and rotor have been replaced under 6000 miles on the vehicle
Just before March 2, 2021 shortly after purchasing this new vehicle I discovered a safety hazard in which the passenger window will not roll down, I brought it to Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad on March 2 and they oiled the window to make it work. I had concerns that they did not replace the motor mechanisms and it would fail again which it has. Today May 17 2021 I was not feeling ill at work and went to sit in my car to roll down the windows to get a breeze and again the passenger front seat window is stuck. One or two times it seemed like it didn’t work but on the next try it did after the repair. now it’s frozen again. Having non-operational windows is a safety hazard and a passenger hazard, and a law enforcement hazard if pulled over and the window will not roll down. It is stuck in the up position. The dealership has no interest it’s a safety hazard and requires i drive it in and will not provide me a loaner car.
THE VEHICLES BRAKING SYSTEM CAUSES WARPED ROTERS AT VERY LOW MILEAGE. USING THESE SYSTEMS IN COMBINATION WITH THE WARPED ROTERS CAUSES VEHICLE SHAKING, DRIVER DISTRACTION, AND INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE. HONDA REPLACED THE FIRST SET OF ROTORS UNDER WARRANTY WHICH TEMPORARILY FIXED THE ISSUE. HOWEVER ISSUES RELATED TO THESE SYSTEMS INCUR EXCESSIVE APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES RESULTING IN A RESURFACING OF THE PROBLEM AFTER A SHORT TIME. HONDA REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS SAFETY ISSUE OR REPAIR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THERE WAS A THUMPING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO IMPERIAL VALLEY HONDA (664 THOMAS LANE, EL CENTRO, CA 92243) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR WHEELS COULD NOT BE ADJUSTED WHILE PERFORMING AN ALIGNMENT ON THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE SHOULD PURCHASE A CAMBER ADJUSTER KIT TO FIX THE ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY THERE WOULD BE NO ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH 7 MILES ON IT. MY HUSBAND INSTANTLY KEPT SAYING WHY IS YOUR CAR SHAKING WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES? I DIDN'T NOTICE BEFORE BUT WAS, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR STOPPING FROM A SPEED OF 50MPH OR MORE. BY THE TIME OF MY FIRST SERVICE IT WAS INCREASINGLY WORSE. I HAD THEM CHECK IT BUT THEY SAID IT WAS FINE. IT GOT WORSE! I WENT BACK AGAIN & EXPLAINED IF IT WAS FINE WE HAVE A PROBLEM. THEY CHECKED IT AGAIN, SAID THERE MUST BE A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH ROTORS. THEY MACHINED THEM & PUT NEW PADS. THE NEXT MORNING BACKING OUT OF CAR PORT- SCRUBBING METAL SOUND AND SQUEAL. THESE BRAKES ARE FAULTY AND I CAN NO LONGER TRUST THAT HONDA CARES. I'M TRADING MY CAR FOR A MAXIMA IN SEPTEMBER. I HAVE OWNED 7 HONDA'S. THIS WAS MY FIRST BRAND NE ONE. NOT GOOD
WITH ONLY 2600 MILES ON THE CAR, I WENT IN FOR A INSPECTION AT HONDA AND THE REAR BRAKES WERE ALREADY FADING TO THE POINT THAT I MIGHT NEED TO REPLACE THEM WITHIN 2K MORE MILES. FROM WHAT I READ, THE STABILIZING FEATURE THAT HONDA IMPLEMENTED IS A BIT TOO AGGRESSIVE AND BECAUSE OF THAT THE REAR BRAKES ARE WEARING OUT MUCH FASTER THAN THEY SHOULD.
THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM WAS ACTIVATED WHEN I WAS DRIVING ~40MPH ON A STRAIGHT HIGHWAY UNDER CLEAR WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME. FORTUNATELY, THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO AVOID ME BUT I DID RECEIVE A FEW HONKS AND A COUPLE OF FINGER SALUTES. I IMMEDIATELY REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO MY DEALERSHIP AND STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM - 4 HOURS AND COUNTING.
I LEASED MY VEHICLE A YEAR AGO, I HAD ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH MY OLD CAR SO I WANTED A BRAND NEW CAR THAT WAS RELIABLE AND SAFE FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN. IN THE FIRST MONTHS THE CAR WAS FINE BUT AFTER ABOUT 4 MONTHS THE CAR WOULD SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPES RANDOMLY. I TOOK IT FOR MAINTENANCE AS THE CAR SYSTEM DIRECTED BUT THE REPAIR SHOP NEVER SAID THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. A MONTH OR SO PAST AND ONE DAY I GOT IN THE CAR AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD WERE IN. I WAS SO FREAKED OUT BECAUSE IT WAS A NEW CAR AND NO WARNING LIGHTS SHOULD OF BEEN ON. I TOOK IT TO HONDA REPAIR SERVICES AND THEY FOUND OUT THAT A MOUSE WENT IN MY ENGINE AND CHEWED SOME OF THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. THE COST OF THE REPAIR WAS 1700 WHICH IS EXTREMELY OUTRAGEOUS PRICES TO ME. ANYWAY I WAS AT HOSPITAL AT WORK AND I GOT THE CALL FROM THE MECHANIC SAYING I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE IT WASN'T A FACTORY DEFAULT. SO I WENT HOME AND DID SOME RESEARCHING AND I FOUND OUT HONDA HAD BEEN USING SOYBEAN IT PEANUT BUTTER OIL TO LUBE THE WIRING, AND THAT'S WHAT ATTRACTS RODENTS TO YOUR ENGINE. IT ALSO STARTED THAT HONDA WIRE PROTECTION TAPE WAS OUT OF STOCK BECAUSE SOME MANY CUSTOMERS HAD THERE CAR WIRES EATEN BY RODENTS. SO I WAS SO PISSED OFF THAT I CALLED HONDA CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE, WHY WOULD HONDA PUT PARTS OR USE OILS IN THE CAR ENGINE THAT ATTRACTS RODENTS. THIS TO ME IS, UNFAIR TO HONEST HARD WORKING CUSTOMERS THAT PAY HONDA THERE MONEY EXPECTING TO HAVE A SAFE AND RELIABLE VEHICLE.NOW I JUST FOUND OUT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED SMOKING OUT THE EXHAUST PIPES ONCE AGAIN. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA.
CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING PROPERLY WITH THE SPEED AND CAR BRAKE BY HIMSELF ITS LIKE DETECT SOMETHING BUT IS NOTHING IN FRONT
8/31/2020 MY 2020 HONDA ACCORD POWER STEERING IS TAKING CONTROL OF POWER STEERING. I HAD A CRASH AT 400HAMPTON ROAD -DALLAS TEXAS. MY ( POWER STEERING) PULLED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CURB, I HAD TO YANK THE CAR BACK TO THE LEFT BUT THE CAR ALREADY COLLIDED WITH THE LEFT CURB, RESULTING IN PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE SIDE OF CAR AND MY RIGHT HAND.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE TRUNK OPENED INADVERTENTLY. THERE WERE SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAN FRANCISCO HONDA (1595 VAN NESS AVE, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94109, (415) 687-0174) AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V771000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION, VISIBILITY/WIPER, VISIBILITY, EXTERIOR LIGHTING) HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000.
2020 HONDA ACCORD - NOT TRACKING STRAIGHT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY CANNOT RECREATE. ISSUE HAPPENS EVERYTIME GOING 50+MPH FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME WHEN CAR IS WARMED UP (30-45+ MINUTES ON HIGHWAY. DID NOT INITIALLY HAPPEN DURING RESIDENTIAL COMMUTES, BUT IS NOW STARTING TO.) WHEEL STICKS TO ONE SIDE WHEN TURNING SLIGHTLY TO EITHER SIDE AND THEN RELEASES CAUSING OVERCORRECTING. WHEEL IS LOOSE AT CENTER AND YOU CONTINUOUSLY HAVE TO ADJUST LEFT TO RIGHT TO LEFT TO STAY STRAIGHT. IT'S ALMOST AS IF THERE IS NO RESISTANCE IN A CERTAIN SECTION OF THE WHEEL. SEVERELY CONCERNING. FEELS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND DEALERSHIP WON'T LISTEN. SEEMS LIKE SAME ISSUE FROM 2014 RECALL. PLEASE RECALL THIS ISSUE - I JUST BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND IT'S DOING THIS; SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN, ESPECIALLY IN A BRAND NEW CAR WITH ME BEING THE FIRST OWNER - BOUGHT NEW IN NOVEMBER 2019 AT 6MILES. I'VE OWNED 3 OTHER HONDA'S AND THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. I FEEL LIKE HONDA IS JUST TRYING TO RUN MY WARRANTY OUT - I WILL FIGHT TO HAVE THIS ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF AS I FEEL LIKE I COULD CRASH AT ANY TIME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE WHILE MAKING A SQUEALING NOISE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LIA HONDA ENFIELD (20 PALOMBA DR, ENFIELD, CT 06082) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE REAR ROTORS NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SCOTT'S AUTOMOBILE SALES (249 HAMPDEN ST, HOLYOKE, MA 01040) FOR A SECOND OPINION AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,835.
LAST YEAR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER I PURCHASED MY CAR I CAME OUT THE STORE TO DISCOVER THE GAS TANK DOOR OPEN AND THE CAR WAS LOCKED. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE INCIDENT IT WAS BRUSHED OFF. THE SPEED LIMIT SIGN CAPTURE CAMERA SHOWED THAT THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 90 WHEN I WAS IN A 35 MILE ZONE, IT HAD CAPTURED THE LAST TWO NUMBERS A ROUTING SIGN INSTEAD OF THE SPEED LIMIT SIGN. I WOKE UP ONE MORNING TO FIND MY CAR WINDOWS DOWN, THE SUNROOF OPEN AND THE CAR WAS STILL LOCKED. THE KEYS WERE STORED IN A PLACE WHERE THEY WERE NOT TOUCHING ANYTHING, SO THERE WAS NO LOGICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE WINDOWS TO BE DOWN AND THE SUNROOF OPEN. THE CAR HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENCE. I CALLED THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. ON MARCH 18, 2021, I DISCOVERED THAT THE GAS TANK DOOR WAS NOT LOCKING AT ALL.
WHEN TAPPING THE BREAKS THE HAS A SERGE OF ACCELERATION.... AFTER GOING OVER BUMPY ROAD OR POTHOLES THE CAR ALSO HAS A SERGE OF ACCELERATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, SHE HEARD AN ABNORMAL CRACKING SOUND COMING FROM THE SUN ROOF. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE SUN ROOF AND SAW SEVERAL CRACKS HAD FORMED ON THE SUN ROOF. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY CLOSED THE SUN ROOF AND STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF STARTED BREAKING APART AS SHE REACHED HER DESTINATION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE CRACK OCCURRED WITHOUT IMPACT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO COLONIAL HONDA OF DARTMOUTH (225 STATE RD, DARTMOUTH, MA 02747) WHERE IT REMAINED UNREPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
I [XXX] AM WRITING THIS LETTER ABOUT MY 2020 HONDA ACCORD. VIN NUMBER [XXX]. I LEASED THIS CAR IN JANUARY OF 2019 FROM TAMPA HONDA. MY BROTHER'S NAME IS ON THE LEASE AND HIS NAME IS [XXX] . HE HAS BEEN LEASING CARS FOR ME OVER 5 YEARS, FROM HONDA. ON FEBRUARY 10, 2020, I WAS OUTSIDE CLEANING MY CAR, LIKE I ALWAYS DO FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS WITH THE CAR RUNNING SO I CAN LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. I WAS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE CLEANING THE INSIDE DASH BOARD, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR ROLLED BACKWARDS. I WAS IN A STATE OF SHOCK AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO STOP IT. I WAS HALF WAY IN THE CAR, AND HALF WAY OUTSIDE WITH MY FEET ON THE GROUND. THE CAR ROLLED OUT IN THE STREET AND HIT THE CAR PARKED ACROSS STREET. I HAD TO FILE A CLAIM FOR THE CAR I HIT, PLUS I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE I HURT MY LEG. I CONTACTED TAMPA HONDA AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE THIS TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY WOULDN'T HELP ME, SO I WAITED TO MONDAY, AND I WENT TO TAKE IT TO THE FINANCE AND SPOKE TO [XXX] AND SHOWED HIM THE VIDEO AND SHOWED HIM A VIDEO OF THE CAR GOING IN REVERSE BY ITSELF AND THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. I THEN CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATION OFFICE AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THE SITUATION AND THEY GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER, [XXX], AND TOLD ME SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK TO ME IN 3 DAYS. THE LADY [XXX] CONTACTED ME AND TOLD ME IT WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, AND SHE SAID SHE IS SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED, BUT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. SHE ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT IS A GOOD THING I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE TO FIX THE OTHER PERSON'S CAR, BUT THERE IS NOTHING SHE CAN DO. I AM WRITING THIS LETTER IN HOPES OF GETTING SOME KIND OF HELP, BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT SAFE AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK. MY NEIGHBOR HAS SURVEILLANCE AND HE UPLOADED A VIDEO TO YOU TUBE. MY CAR WAS AT THE MECHANIC'SHOP AROUND THE CORNER. IT'S AT HONDA OF SERRAMONTE IN COLMA OF DALY CITY. THE CAR WAS AT THE SHOP SINCE 01/28/2021. THERE IS A RECALL ON 2018-2021 HONDA ACCORD. PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL. [XXX]. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
THERE APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE STEERING WHEN DRIVING STRAIGHT, THE WILL SEEM TO LACK RESPONSE AND THE CAR WILL DRIFT TO THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT ONLY TO HAVE CONTROL REGAINED VIA A NOTCHY LIGHT JOLT OF THE WHEEL. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN DESCRIBED BY 2018-2020 ACCORD OWNERS AS A NOTCH AND/OR FLAT SPOT IN THE STEERING WHEN ON SMOOTH STRAIGHT HIGHWAY ROADS. I CONSISTENTLY HAVE THIS OCCUR WHEN DRIVING FOR MORE THSN 5 OR TEN MINUTES ON ANY OPEN ROAD. DOES NOT SEEM TO NOTICEABLE IN LOCAL DRIVING. I DO NOTICE THIS WITHIN 20-30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP (WALDORF HONDA) AND THEY DID A MINOR ADJUSTMENT TO THE BALANCE OF THE TIRES. THIS HAD NO EFFETC FOR THE PROBLEM AND I NOTICED IT HAPPENING AGAIN IMMEDIATELY UPON DRIVING ON AN PEN HIGHWAY AGAIN. I'VE IDENTIFIED AT LEAST 20 SUCH COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA WEB-SITE FROM 2018-2020 MODELS, I'M SURPRISED THAT NO SUCH BULLETIN OR RECALL IS DOCUMENTED TO REMEDY THIS ISSUE. THIS IS PRIMARILY A HIGHWAY ISSUE AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50MPH, BUT I EVEN FEEL THE NOTCHY STEERING ON SMOOTH SINGLE LANE COUNTRY ROADS THAT AT 40-50MPH. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A DEFINITE CAR SFAETY ISSUE WHICH NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED AS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE CAR DRIFTS AND THE DRIVER FIGHTS TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT. ESPECIALLY CONCERNING WHEN DRIVING IN RAIN OR SLICK CONDITIONS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT HONDA NEEDS TO ADDRESS BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED DUE TO HIGH-SPEED SWERVING TO MAINTAIN THE VEHICLE IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON THE ROAD. IN ALMOST FIFTY YEARS OF DRIVING I HAVE NEVER BEEN AFRAID TO DRIVE A CAR ON THE HIGHWAY. THAT IS HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE 2020 HONDA ACCORD NOW.
HAD OIL CHANGE SERVICE MANAGER SAID TECH CHANGING OIL NOTICED A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE IN OIL . MANAGER SAID YOU HAVE GAS IN YOUR OIL.
CONSTANT ALERT COMING ON VEHICLE AS DRIVING SAYING "COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM HAS A PROBLEM. HAVE YOUR VECHILE CHECKED BY DEALER" ALONG WITH "ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROM SYSTEM HAS PROBLEM. TURN OFF ENGINE, THEN RESTART" AM I DEALING WITH A COMPUTER OR A VEHICLE I CAN POTENTIALLY LOSE MY LIFE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG???
DRIVING ON I95 NEAR LUMBERTON NC AT 78MPH IN ECON MODE WITH CRUISE ON, WENT TO PASS VEHICLE AFTER CRUISE SLOWED ME DOWN, STEPPED ON GAS AND RESPONSE FELT DIFFERENT, REALIZED I WAS SLOWING DOWN WHILE STEPPING ON THE GAS. NOTICED CEL LIGHT AND CONTINUED TO SLOW DOWN. I THOUGHT CAR WAS DRIFTING BUT THE RPMS STILL SHOWED ENGINE ON. GOT TO SAFETY APRON AND REALIZED CAR WAS IN LIMP MODE. MANAGED TO GET TO EXIT RAMP. SITTING ON RAMP NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE, WHEN YOU TAPPED THE GAS PEDAL, WAS ROUGH BUT SEEMED TO IDLE OK. TOWED TO NEARBY DEALER. THEY SAID IT HAD A P0300 HISTORY CODE BUT NO CURRENT CODE. THEY CLEARED IT, TEST DROVE AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME. CONTINUED BY TRIP TO VIRGINIA WITH NO PROBLEMS. CAR HAD 7251 MILES. NO PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS. PREVIOUS NIGHT (31ST) WE GASSED UP AND DROVE AN HOUR+ TO FLORENCE IN RAIN. STAYED THE NIGHT AND STARTED NEXT DAY. WE HAD DRIVEN ANOTHER HOUR+ WHEN THIS HAPPENED. IT WAS IN THE 30'S THAT DAY IN SC BUT NOT RAINING.
THE WARNING LIGHTS COME ON FOR THE BREAKING SYSTEM ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM SEE YOUR DEALER, COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM SEE YOUR DEALER ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM PROBLEM SEE YOUR DEALER. WITH THE ACC AND BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHTS ON AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 2516 MILES ON IT. THIS DOES NOT MAKE ME FEEL SAFE AT ALL TO DRIVE. WHAT IS BEING DONE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AS THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS KIND? IS THERE A FIX NOW!!
FOLLOWING A COLLISION, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE RESULTING IN OPERATOR DEATH
THERE APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WHEN DRIVING STRAIGHT, THE POWER STEERING WILL LACK RESPONSE AND THE CAR WILL DRIFT ONLY TO HAVE CONTROL REGAINED VIA A NOTCHY LIGHT JOLT OF THE WHEEL. ANOTHER WAY IN WHICH 2018-2020 ACCORD CONSUMERS HAVE DESCRIBED IT AS A NOTCH AND/OR FLAT SPOT IN THE STEERING WHEN ON SMOOTH STRAIGHT HIGHWAY ROADS. AS OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE NOTED, I TYPICALLY ENCOUNTER THIS ONLY AFTER DRIVING FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME, BUT I DO EVEN NOTICE THIS WITHIN 20-30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP (LEITH HONDA ABERDEEN) TO WHICH THEY STATED "CUSTOMER CONCERN NOT DUPLICATED AT THIS TIME. NO SERVICE BULLETINS AT THIS TIME OR SERVICE NEWS ON THIS CONCERN". THE DEALERSHIP "PERFORMED DIAGNOSTIC TEST NO DTC CODES STEER ANGLE AT ZERO DEGREES". THIS DID NOT REMEDY THE ISSUE. GIVEN THAT I'VE IDENTIFIED AT LEAST 20 SUCH COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA WEB-SITE FROM 2018-2020 MODELS, I'M SURPRISED THAT NO SUCH BULLETIN OR RECALL IS DOCUMENTED TO REMEDY THIS ISSUE. THIS IS PRIMARILY A HIGHWAY ISSUE AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50MPH, BUT I EVEN FEEL THE NOTCHY STEERING ON SMOOTH SINGLE LANE COUNTRY ROADS THAT AT 40-50MPH. THE FIRST WEEK I HAD THE CAR I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT IN NASHUA, NH AND WENT TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. I PUSHED THE IGNITION BUTTON TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF BUT INADVERTENTLY FORGOT TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. THE PARKING SPACE WAS ON A SLIGHT INCLINE WITH THE SLOPE GOING TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE CAR. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO STAND UP TO GET OUT OF THE CAR THE CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL, KNOCKING ME OVER, CATCHING/TWISTING MY RIGHT LEG IN AND UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT AND THE DOOR (FRACTURING IT IN TWO PLACES REQUIRING ME TO BE WHEELCHAIR BOUND AND NON-WEIGHT BEARING FOR 8 WEEKS). AS I PULLED MY RIGHT LEG OUT, I WAS ON THE GROUND AND THE DRIVER-SIDE REAR TIRE RAN OVER MY LEFT LEG. FORTUNATELY A CURB AT THE END OF THE PARKING SPACE STOPPED THE CAR FROM ROLLING, BUT ALLOWED IT TO ROLL FAR ENOUGH FOR MY LEFT LEG TO NOT BE TRAPPED UNDER THE TIRE. AFTER THE INCIDENT, I MUST HAVE BEEN IN SHOCK AS I GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND DROVE TO MY DAUGHTER'S HOUSE ABOUT 10 MINUTES AWAY. I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND MANY OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS HAVE A SAFETY MEASURE IN PLACE WHERE IF THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR IS OPENED WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY STOP SO IT WILL NOT RESULT IN THIS TYPE OF ACCIDENT. I BELIEVE THAT THE FAILURE TO HAVE A SAFETY MECHANISM IN PLACE (LIKE NOT DEPLOYING AIRBAGS IF NO WEIGHT IN THE SEAT, OR TURNING OFF THE LIGHTS AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME IF THEY ARE LEFT ON, ETC.) RESULTED IN THIS HAPPENING AND MY UNDERSTANDING FROM OTHER IS THIS COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I BELIEVE HONDA SHOULD IMPLEMENT SIMILAR SAFETY MEASURES THAT OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS HAVE IN PLACE TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ELSE.
WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED, AND NOT RUNNING, TRUNK LID UNLATCHES, AND OPENS, RANDOMLY AND UNCOMMANDED. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS (4-5), OCCASIONS WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE.
2020 ACCORD 2.0T SPORT 10,600 MILES I WAS TRAVELING ACROSS THE STATE WITH PERIODS OF LIGHT AND HEAVY RAIN. ABOUT HALFWAY INTO MY ~280 MILE TRIP I STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM THE LIGHT, MY CAR LOST POWER AND THE ACCELERATOR DID NOT WORK. I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BLINKING, WITH NO OTHER WARNING MESSAGES. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED TO FIND NO ENGINE LIGHT OR WARNING. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE LATE IN THE EVENING SO I CONTINUED TO THE DESTINATION. WITH APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES TO GO, I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE AROUND A SLOWER MOVING VEHICLE AND WAS MET WITH PREVIOUS PROBLEMS, AS WELL AS MANY WARNING MESSAGES. TURNING OFF AND RESTARTING THE CAR ENABLED ME TO DRIVE AGAIN, BUT THE WARNING MESSAGES REMAIN. BOTH TIMES THIS OCCURRED IT WAS RAINING. BOTH TIMES I LOST POWER AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE TO MOVE TO A SAFE LOCATION.
I'VE NOTICED A VERY ANNOYING HUMMING SOUND WHILE DRIVING MY 2020 HONDA ACCORD SPORT 1.5T. IT WILL STOP WHEN APPROACHING A STOP OR WHEN OPENING THE FRONT WINDOWS. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND LOTS OF 2018-2020 HONDA OWNER'S ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AND MENTIONED IT COULD BE THE ANC SYSTEM.
THE CAR RATTLES ON THE REAR WHERE THE EXHAUST END WHEN I TURN IT OFF. IT USED TO NOT DO THAT RATTLING BEFORE. THE CAR VIBRATES WHEN THE CAR IS COMING TO A STOP AND THEN CONTINUES WHEN IDLING. IT FEELS LIKE I AM SITTING AT A VIBRATING CHAIR. THE ENGINE WORKS VERY ROUGH WHEN IDLING.
FROM OCT 10 TO OCT 14, I PARKED MY CAR AT OFF AIRPORT PARKING LOT FOR 5DAYS. WHEN I CAME BACK, MY CAR DIDN'T START. MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE CLOSEST HONDA DEALERSHIP. I GOT THE INSPECTION REPORT FROM THE DEALERSHIP STATING THAT THE REASON WHY MY CAR DIDN'T START IS DUE TO BAD GAS. I WENT TO THE GAS STATION, WHERE I PUMPED MY GAS LAST TIME BEFORE I FLEW OUT OF ATL, TO CHECK WITH THEM. THEY PROVIDED ME A COPY OF THE SYSTEM STATUS REPORT OF 10/9/20 SHOWING THAT THERE WERE NO ISSUES. SO I WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THAT #3 CYLINDER IS FULL OF WATER; THEY SAID THEY COULD GET A FUEL SAMPLE ONCE I AUTHORIZED THEM TO WORK ON THE FUEL TANK REMOVAL AND CLEANING. ONCE THEY PROCEEDED, THEY STATED THEY FOCUSED ON CLEANING THE SPARK PLUGS AND PERFORMING AN OIL CHANGE WHICH LED THEM TO FIND OUT THERE IS INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. SO THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD STOP UNTIL MY INSURANCE COMPANY CHECKS THE CAR. THEY SAID THEY TOOK MULTIPLE FUEL SAMPLES AND DID NOT SEE WATER BUT THERE WAS WATER FILLED IN THE ENGINE CYLINDERS. THEY HAVE ASKED ME IF THE CAR WAS IN A FLOOD, BUT THERE WAS NO MASSIVE RAIN OR STORM WHICH FLOODED THE AREA. THEY EMPHASIZED THAT IT IS NOT A WARRANTABLE REPAIR AS IT IS NOT A PROBLEM CAUSED BY THE MANUFACTURER, WHICH SOUNDED QUESTIONING. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME IF THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE OIL AND FUEL TANK, THEN THE ONLY WAY THAT WATER CAN GET INTO THE ENGINE IS MANUALLY POURING LOTS OF WATER THROUGH AIR INTAKE, WHICH ALSO SOUNDS RIDICULOUS AS I HAVE NEVER TOUCHED IT NOR THERE WAS NO TRACE OF SOMEONE TRYING TO OPEN MY HOOD FROM INSIDE AND PUTTING WATER. AFTER I EXPLAINED TO THEM, THEY SAID THEY STILL CANNOT PROVIDE AN ANSWER AS TO WHY THERE IS WATER, BUT IT CANNOT BE WARRANTABLE REPAIR. IF THEY DO NOT KNOW THE CLEAR CAUSE OF THE ISSUES, HOW CAN THEY STRONGLY CONFIRM IT IS NOT DUE TO MANUFACTURER ISSUES?
A MESSAGE CAME OVER THE DASHBOARD "TPMS TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM MALFUNCTION, SEE DEALERSHIP". THERE WAS A TEXT MESSAGE THEN APPEARED ON THE MUSIC SCREEN. I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT LANE TOWARDS TRAFFIC AND I WAS PULLING TO THE LEFT AND HIT THE JERSEY BARRIER AND SPIN THE CAR AROUND. THE VEHICLE FROM THE REAR HIT ME AND
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE LANE DEPARTURE FEATURE ACTIVATED, FORCING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE CENTER IN BETWEEN THE LANES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER AN OBJECT OR ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS NEARBY, THE FORWARD COLLISION AUTOMATIC BRAKING ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED THE VEHICLE RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MCGRATH HONDA (2020 N RANDALL RD, ELGIN, IL 60123) TO BE DIAGNOSED AND TEST DRIVEN HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK 5 ADDITIONAL TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR MORE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,200.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR BRAKES CAME ON WHILE I STILL HAD MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. LUCKILY FOR ME THERE WHERE NO CARS BEHIND. I HAVE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HONDA SERVICE DEPART FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING. I JUST PURCHASED MY HONDA ACCORD 2020 VEHICLE A MONTH AGO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50-70 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE CONTACT NOTICED THERE WAS ABNORMAL ODOR OF FUEL IN THE OIL. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED SOUTHEASTERN HONDA (3125 US-1, PALM BAY, FL 32905 (321) 270-8341) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE SENSOR MAY HAVE GOTTEN WET CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SWITCH TO LIMP MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300.
I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 15 GOING 70MPH ON A CLEAR SUNNY DAY AND NO TRAFFIC WAS IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CAR SUDDENLY FLASH THE BRAKE LIGHT INDICATOR AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN STOPPING INSTANTLY AS IF THEIR WAS CAR IN FRONT OF MINE. LUCKILY I LOOKED THE MIRROR AND SEEN A SEMI TRUCK BEHIND ME HIT HIS BRAKES AND I HAD TO FLOOR THE GAS PEDAL BEFORE BEING REAR ENDED BU THE SEMI TRUCK. THIS COULD OF CAUSED MULTIPLE FATALITY IN MY CAR IF I DID NOT HIT THE GAS PEDAL WHEN THE CAR BRAKED FOR NO REASON. THE CAR IS ONLY 6 MO OLD AND HAS 15,000K MILES ON IT.
"TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION SYSTEM" SEEMS TO RECOGNIZE HIGHWAY SHOULDER MILEAGE MARKERS AS A SPEED LIMIT BECAUSE THE SMALL SQUARE SIGNS HAVE BLACK LETTER ON WHITE BACKGROUND. [PENNSYLVANIA, UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP]. THE CAR'S OCR ALGORITHM PROCESSING IS FLAWED. SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR WORDS LIKE SPEED AND LIMIT IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE ERROR RATE. ALSO SHOULD TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE CAR'S AVG SPEEDS FOR THE PAST 5 MINUTES TO FILTER OUT FALSE SIGN RECONITION. REPORTS SPEED LIMIT OF 65MPH IN 35MPH ZONE. ONCE REPORTED SPEED LIMIT 120MPH. THE HIGH ERROR RATE CAN LEAD TO DRIVER CONFUSION AND/OR MISINTERPRETATION OF CURRENT SPEED LIMIT. WHILE IT IS A NICE FEATURE, ITS ACCURACY NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED. FALSE READING HAS HAPPENED OVER SIX TIMES IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS.
ELECTRICAL PROBLEM CAUSING BREAKS TO SUDDENLY STOP. WAS TOLD CHIP WAS NO GOOD , PROBLEM CONTINUED 8 MONTHS LATER
I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. WHEN I STARTED TO GO AGAIN MY CAR WOULD BARELY MOVE. ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING WITH ONE SAYING TO TAKE THE CAR TO A DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. I WAS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR ABOVE 20 MILES PER HOUR. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED THE MY DEALERSHIP, THE CLOSEST ONE. MY CAR WAS TWO WEEKS OLD. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THE COMPUTER STOPPED TALKING TO THE CAR. THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND THE ROOT CAUSE, AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR 17 DAYS. I FEEL UNSAFE IN THIS VEHICLE.
IT'S AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR MOVING FORWARD AND COLLIDED WITH A STORE WHILE PARKED. I PARKED MY CAR ON A FLAT SURFACE IN FRONT OF A FARM STORE, WENT INTO THE STORE. ITS A FARM STORE IN AN OPEN FIELD. I WAS ABOUT 20 FEET AWAY FROM THE CAR WITH KEYS IN MY POCKET. I LEFT THE CAR AC RUNNING AS IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY AND I KNEW IT WOULD TAKE ME TWO MINUTES TO GRAB SOME FRESH CUCUMBERS. I GO THERE TWICE OR THREE TIMES A WEEK. WHEN I WAS IN THE STORE , I HEARD THE STORE OWNER WHO IS SITTING BY HIS HOUSE BY THE STORE STARTED SCREAMING SAYING YOUR CAR IS ROLLING. I LOOKED BACK AND SAW THE CAR DROVE FORWARD AND COLLIDED WITH THE STORE FRONT. MY CAR WAS PARKED ON A FLAT SURFACE, IT MOVED FORWARD WITH ITS OWN. NOW I AM AFRAID TO MY DEATH TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. I OR SOMEONE ELSE COULD HAVE BEEN DEAD IF WE WERE STRAIGHT AHEAD. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS VEHICLE SO THAT IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS CAR, INSTANCES LIKE THIS CAN BE PREVENTED AND POTENTIALLY LIFE CAN BE SAVED.
THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT STOPPED ACCELERATING. I PULLED OVER AND COULD NOT GET THE CAR TO ACCELERATE MORE THAN A COUPLE MPH.
HONDA ACCORD 2020 LX HAS SO MUCH RATTLE PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING ON THE GROOVED ROAD WHEN ACCELERATING, ESPECIALLY ON BAD CONDITION HIGHSPEED ROAD AROUND 60-70 MPH. NOISE HAPPENS IN THE DASHBOARD, B PILLAR SEATBELT AREA, ROOF BETWEEN B AND C PILLAR. WHICH DISTRACTS PEOPLE WHEN DRIVING, SO DANGEROUS.
HARD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE STRAIGHT WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. PROBLEM PERSISTS WITH AND WITHOUT HONDA'S LANE DEPARTURE ON OR/AND OFF. *TR
UPON HVAC SYSTEM WORKING AND VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, VEHICLE WILL EMIT A LOUD RATTLING NOISE WHICH SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD OR HVAC SYSTEM COMPONENTS. *TR
BREAKS SENSORS CAUTION POPS ON SCREEN FOR NO REASON (IT'S WORRIED FOR ME) 1.- BREAK SYSTEM PROBLEM AND 2.- ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEAT BELT FROM THE TOP ADJUSTMENT THAT PLASTIC ARE ANNOYED NOISE AS SAME NOISE FROM THE CENTER WINDSHIELD AND HEATER CENTER NOISE. WHO I CAN BE SAFETY IF THAT NOISE COMES FROM THE SEAT BELT? THE TACHOMETER IS NOT VISIBLE WHEN SELECTING ANY OPTION ON THE INFORMATION SCREEN. THIS PROBLEMS NEEDS TO FIX AND IMPROVE.
THE DRIVER'S SEATBELT ASSEMBLY GENERATES AN INTERMITTENT RATTLING NOISE, ESPECIALLY WHEN GOING OVER ROAD IMPERFECTIONS/BUMPS. THIS MAKES ME QUESTION WHETHER THE SEATBELT IS GOING TO WORK IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. THE PROBLEM WAS NOTICED AFTER TWO HOURS OF PURCHASE.
I JUST FILED THIS COMPLAINT AND CHECKED THE BOX THAT I DID NOT WANT MY INFORMATION SHARED WITH THE MANUFACTURER PRIOR TO AN INVESTIGATION. I WOULD LIKE THIS INFORMATION TO BE SHARED WITH THE MANUFACTURER PRIOR TO AN INVESTIGATION. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ON A SUNNY DAY WITH NO OTHER CARS AROUND ME, AND NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED AND ALMOST BROUGHT THE CAR TO A FULL STOP. THE BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 SECONDS, MY FOOT REMAINED ON THE GAS BECAUSE I WAS STARTLED AND COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING, AND HAD NO TIME TO REACT. THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM THEN RELEASED, AND THE CAR KEPT DRIVING. *TR

I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA AMERICA ABOUT THIS (CASE10206483). THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAGS ARE OFTEN NOT ACTIVATED WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION WITH AN ADULT SIGNIFICANTLY WEIGHING MORE THAN 65 LBS. SITTING ON THAT SEAT, WHILE ALL CONDITIONS SPECIFIED IN THE OWNER'S GUIDE ARE MET. AS AN EXAMPLE OF THE PROBLEM, MULTIPLE TIMES WHEN MY 82 LB. WIFE HAS SAT ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF INDICATOR WOULD AT FIRST GO OUT, AS IT SHOULD. BUT AFTER WE DRIVE FOR A LITTLE WHILE, IT GOES ON AND STAYS ON FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP, INDICATING THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAGS ARE OFF, THUS PUTTING HER AT RISK. MY HONDA DEALER HAS VERIFIED RELATED PROBLEMS BY TAKING MY WIFE FOR DRIVES IN MY CAR. HE GOT THE SAME PROBLEMS IN ANOTHER 2020 ACCORD LX CVT. HE HAS ALSO HAD HIS PERSONNEL SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND GOT THE SAME PROBLEMS. HE HAS GIVEN UP. THE DEALER TESTED ALL RELEVANT PARTS. THEY WORKED PERFECTLY. BUT THEN HE TESTED THE WEIGHT-SENSOR WITH MY WIFE ON THE SEAT. THE READING WAS 50 LBS. FOR AN 82 LB. WOMAN. NOTE THAT I WEIGH 132 LBS. AND HAVE NO SUCH PROBLEMS. I WONDER HOW MANY ADULTS ARE DRIVING AROUND WHILE SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT NOT REALIZING THAT THEY ARE AT RISK BECAUSE THE AIRBAGS ARE OFF. THIS MIGHT ALSO APPLY TO OTHER MAKES AND MODELS. I SUGGESTED THAT SERIOUS CONSIDERATION BE GIVEN TO LOWERING THE WEIGHT-SENSOR READING THAT COMMANDS THE PASSENGER AIRBAGS TO BE TURNED ON, SO THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE ACTIVE FOR PASSENGERS WEIGHING SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN 65 LBS., LIKE MY WIFE.
AC IS NOT WORKING AT SECOND AFTER I PICK UP THE CAR. IT ONLY 50 MILES. TURN THE TEMPERATURE TO 'LO', THE FAN BLOWS WARM AIR.
WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2020 HONDA ACCORD EX. WE HAVE DRIVEN IT ABOUT 3200 MILES IN THE 3 MONTHS WE OWNED IT. DURING THAT TIME IT HAS SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL 3 TIMES WHEN MY WIFE, WHILE DRIVING FORWARD AT NORMAL SPEEDS, LIGHTLY BRUSHED THE SHIFTER WHILE ADJUSTING A CONTROL ON THE DASH OR ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE THIRD TIME SHE ATTEMPTED TO QUICKLY SHIFT BACK TO DRIVE AND BECAUSE THE LOCK IS ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE SHIFT KNOB IT WAS DEPRESSED AND SHE WENT PAST DRIVE INTO SUPER (LOW GEAR); THE LOWER GEAR SLOWED THE CAR VERY ABRUPTLY (AND, OF COURSE DID SO WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE BRAKE LIGHTS) AND SHE WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND WE ARE CONSIDERING SELLING THE VEHICLE.
APPROXIMATELY RIGHT AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR, I BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE BRAKE. THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS HARDER THAN NORMAL; WHEN I APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT FEELS LIKE IT HAS SEVERAL LAYERS UNTIL I PUSH IT TO THE END. IT FEELS LIKE IT DOESN'T RESPOND RIGHT AWAY. ALSO, THE BRAKE IS GIVING ME A STRONG RESPOND, SO I FEEL THE CAR IS SHAKING SIGNIFICANTLY WHEN I DO AN IMMEDIATE STOP. ALSO, WHEN I APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE, THE MOTION OF THE CAR RUSH FORWARD AND SLIDE DOWN BEFORE IT RESPONDS CORRECTLY.
