Owner's description
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V576000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes independently engaged. The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice. In addition, the contact stated that while driving on a busy bridge, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 40 MPH. The contact drove at a slow speed for a while before being able to take an exit. The contact stated that the low tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the road. The contact turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle started. The contact stated that the failure had not reoccurred. In addition, the contact stated that the failure started one week after the recall repair was performed. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 35,000.
