Owner's description
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to restart the vehicle after approximately 30 minutes, and the driver resumed driving. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine), and related the failure to the recalls; however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown software update was performed, and the contact was advised not to use the hybrid system of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start intermittently, made abnormal clicking sounds, and was glitching. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.
