Owner's description
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced a premature loss of battery charge while driving in electric mode. Additionally, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. The TPMS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair; however, the part to do the recall repair was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and informed the contact that there was partial vehicle rental assistance pending approval. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
