The contact owns a 2003 BMW X5. The contact stated the vehicle was parked, while entering the vehicle he noticed the dashboard was melted, which was caused by a fire that occurred independently. The contact stated he reviewed a camera that was near the location of the vehicle and saw the fire occur on the video. The contact did not call the fire department to report the incident. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 137,000.

LH - Driver side seat caught fire and melted through seat material and melted onto my coat. there are burn marks / holes through the seat due to the heater malfunction/ short. My coat was also ruined with plastic melted onto it from the seat.
The windows keep getting stuck. Not just one but both. We have replaced the windows 3 times. The window regulator keeps getting wound up in the gear. The motor in the window has to keep getting replaced. This is causing the window to get stuck or tight. Which ever you choose to call it. when it gets this way it causes the window to pop the crack or break. This has happened twice. my BMW is still in good shape all but the 2 front windows. This needs to be addressed.

THE CAR STARTED LOSING POWER WHILE ON THE ROAD. IT GOT SLOWER AND SLOWER, TILL IT FINALLY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT HAD TO BE TOWED THE REST OF THE WAY TO THE HOUSE. THE ENGINE WOULD START UP, BUT IT WOULD NOT ENGAGE ANY OF THE GEARS.

WE HAVE REPLACED 7 WINDOW REGULATORS KEEP BREAKING. ALL BMW PARTS. DEFECTIVE DESIGN. ALSO NOW THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR HAS WENT OUT AND CAUSING ISSUES WITH BRAKES ETC. BITH OF THESE ISSUES CAUSE THE AUTO TO FAIL SAFETY INSPECTION. THE DRIVERS SIDE REGULATOR SCRAPED ALL THE TINTING OFF THE INSIDE OF THE WINDOW AS WELL. THE REGULATORS WERE ALL REPLACED 4 YEARS AGO WITH BMW PARTS AND THEY ARE BROKEN AGAIN AND BEING REPLACED AGAIN. REASEARCHING IF THERE IS AFTER MARKET TO FIX PROBLEM WITH THAT DOWEST HAVE THE DEFECT BMW'S REGULATORS HAVE. THE FIX IS ALMOST $2000.00 EACH TIME. WHILE DRIVING, I STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION. WHEN I STARTED TO GO, THERE WAS A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAD TO GET THE CAR PUSHED OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. I NEVER RECEIVED A SINGLE NOTIFICATION IN THE MAIL. I HAVE LIVED AT THE SAME ADDRESS SINCE 2003, SO THERE SEEMS TO BE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. WHEN I CALLED MY BMW DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE RECALL, I WAS TOLD THERE IS NO CURRENT REMEDY BUT THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK ABOUT MY OPTIONS. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED, I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS AND HAVE HAD SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS (STEERING COLUMN, WINDOW REGULATORS, ENGINE, AND COOLANT LEAKAGE). I SEE WHERE THESE ISSUES SEEM TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE VEHICLE, BUT AM HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING THE RECALL WORK DONE. STOPPED AT RED LIGHT AND WHEN RESUMED DRIVING AT GREEN LIGHT, SUDDENLY HEARD LOUD GRINDING NOISE IN DRIVE MODE (D). STOPPED CAR IMMEDIATELY. TUNED OFF ENGINE AND STARTED AGAIN AFTER FEW MINUTES AND SAME GRINDING NOISE IN DRIVE MODE AS WELL AS REVERSE MODE. NOT ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR WHEN ACCELERATE. TOWED THE CAR TO MY LOCAL BMW MECHANIC (HE HAS HIS OWN SERVICE CENTER NOT A DEALER OWNED). DURING PHONE CONVERSATION, HE SUSPECTED ITS SOMETHING TO DO WITH TRANSFERCASE/FRONT DRIVE SHAFT AND UPON PHYSICAL INSPECTION HE CONFIRMED ITS THOSE TWO PARTS. THE SPLINE CONNECTION BETWEEN DRIVE SHAFT AND TRANSFER CASE WENT BAD. THE MECHANIC KNEW OF THIS ISSUE HAPPENING IN SEVERAL X5S BUT NOT AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE (51K ONLY). ENDED UP REPLACING THE BAD PARTS THROUGH HIM AS I HAD NO HOPES DEALER WILL FIX THIS ISSUE AT THEIR EXPENSE BASED ON SEVERAL READINGS ONLINE AND FEEDBACK FROM OTHER CAR OWNERS. TOTAL REPAIR COST $4000 OEM PARTS PLUS LABOR. READ IN SEVERAL BMW FORUMS (BIMMERFORUM, BIMMERFEST ETC,) THIS IS VERY COMMON PROBLEM. EXPERTS BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW IN THE CONNECTION BETWEEN FRONT DRIVE SHAFT AND TRANSFER CASE (DRIVE SHAFT BEING AN INCH SHORT).THERE ARE CUSTOM FRONT DRIVE SHAFT AVAILABLE THAT ARE ABOUT 1INCH LONGER THAN THE OEM PART. ANOTHER FACTOR THAT MAY BE DRIVING THIS ISSUE COULD BE RELATED TO AC CONDENSATE PIPE LOCATION RIGHT ABOVE WHERE THE DRIVE SHAFT AND TRANSFER CASE CONNECTS. THE CONTACT THEN NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT HEATER HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND BURNED A HOLE THROUGH THE LEATHER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 5 DEGREES F. AFTER DRIVING A SHORT DISTANCE, THERE WAS A LARGE AMOUNT OF SMOKE FROM TAILPIPES AND SMOKE FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT. ENGINE OIL WARNING MESSAGE AND SES LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE ENGINE HESITATED AND MISFIRED. AFTER STOPPING, THE BACK OF THE X5 WAS COVERED IN OIL. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS COVERED IN OIL AND OIL COATED THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THE X5 HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER INDICATED THE CCV WAS FROZEN AND IT WAS COMMON IN THESE CARS. WHEN THE CCV FREEZES, IT CAN SUCK THE OIL FROM THE OIL SUMP THROUGH THE CCV INTO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THE VALVE COVER GASKET USUALLY BLOWS FROM THE INCREASED PRESSURE. IF ENOUGH OIL IS SUCKED IN THROUGH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, IT CAN HYDROLOCK THE ENGINE, BREAKING PISTON RODS, ETC OR THE ENGINE CAN SEIZE FROM LACK OF OIL. BMW IS AWARE OF THIS DESIGN FLAW IN THESE CARS WHEN OPERATED IN COLD CLIMATES AND IS PROVIDING SOME RELIEF FOR SOME OF THE CARS THAT EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE. THE VALVE COVER GASKET WAS REPLACED. OIL HAD TO BE VACUUMED FROM THE SPARK PLUG WELLS. THE CCV AND ASSOCIATED HOSES WERE REPLACED WITH A NEWER INSULATED DESIGN. THE DIPSTICK TUBE WAS REPLACED. THE OIL FILTER WAS REPLACED. ANY OIL THAT MAY REMAIN IS DRAINED AND NEW OIL WAS ADDED. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS DEGREASED. *TR
THE SEAT HEATER WAS TURNED ON TO THE HIGHEST SETTING. WHILE DRIVING WITH MY 4-YEAR OLD SON IN THE BACK, I SMELLED SMOKE, THEN SHORTLY AFTER, MY LEFT BUTT CHEEK FELT BURNING. I LOOKED DOWN AND SURE ENOUGH SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF A AN AMBER GLOWING HOLE IN THE LEATHER SEAT. LUCKILY I DIDN'T PANIC... SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE HEATER. I BACKED MY 2003 BMW M5 OUT OF THE DRIVE WAY AND HEARD A TERRIBLE SOUND, I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE CAR FORWARD, AND THE NOISE GOT WORSE. THE REPAIR IS COSTING ME APPROXIMATELY $4000.00. IN JANUARY 2013 OIL SEPARATOR FROZE TWO MORE TIMES;HOWEVER, THIS TIME DAMAGING THE ENGINE - COST OVER $5000 TO REPAIR - BASICALLY TOTALING THE CAR. WITH ABOUT 15 MINUTES OF RESEARCH, THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON AND KNOWN ISSUE ON BMW X5 3.0, 4.4 AND 4.8 ENGINES FROM 2001 TO 2008... LOOKS LIKE THE PARTS WERE REDESIGNED IN 2009. LOOKS LIKE A SIMPLE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ROUTINE AND INSULATED OIL LINES WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE "CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE" AND DANGEROUS CONDITION OF TAILPIPE FIRE, OR BEING STRANDED IN ZERO DEGREE WEATHER (WHICH SEEMS TO BE A CONDITION REQUIRED FOR THE FAILURE). OWNER OF CAR IS THE ORIGINAL OWNER, WITH ALL MAINTENANCE BEING DONE AT LOCAL BMW DEALERSHIPS INCLUDING MAJOR SERVICES AT 60K AND 90K SO THERE APPEARS THERE IS NO "PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE" INCLUDED IN EITHER OF THESE MAJOR SERVICE MILESTONES FOR THE KNOWN OIL SEPARATOR DEFECT. THE PIXELS ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE RADIO DISPLAY ARE FADED OUT WHICH MAKES THE VISIBILITY ON THESE ITEMS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO BMWUSA'S ATTENTION AND DISCUSSED ON MANY BMW FORUMS, YET THE MANUFACTURER AND ITS SUPPLIER (SIEMANS VDO) REFUSE TO FIX. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY AT ABOUT 80 MILES PER HOUR, WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, IT WAS NECESSARY TO DIS-ENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL FOR A SLOWER VEHICLE. WHEN I THEN APPLIED MY FOOT TO THE GAS PEDAL, IT SUDDENLY FELT UNSTABLE AND WOBBLY. I FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN STEADY PRESSURE ON IT AND MAINTAIN MY SPEED IN HEAVY FREEWAY TRAFFIC. I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION. FORTUNATELY I WAS JUST 20 MILES FROM MY DESTINATION, AND I WAS ABLE TO VERY CAREFULLY AND REPEATEDLY RE-POSITION MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL TO MAINTAIN SPEED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. UPON ARRIVING AT MY DESTINATION, I EXAMINED THE GAS PEDAL, ONLY TO FIND MOST OF IT HAD DETACHED FROM THE FLOORBOARD - A THIN, FLIMSY WEB OF PLASTIC THAT HELD THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOORBOARD HAD SPLIT AT THE FLOORBOARD, CAUSING THE PROBLEM. ONLY ABOUT 15 OR 20% OF THE ATTACHMENT REMAINED. HAD 100% OF THE ATTACHMENT FAILED, I WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE LOST ALL ACCELERATOR CONTROL IN TRAFFIC AND AT HIGH SPEED, A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SCENARIO. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE DESIGN OF THIS GAS PEDAL IS DEFECTIVE, WHICH LED TO THE PROBLEM AT ONLY 33500 MILES! I COMPLAINED TO BMW U.S.A WITH NO SATISFACTION. I CLAIMED THAT THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST DUE TO FAULTY DESIGN, WHICH CONSTITUTES LIFETIME RESPONSIBILITY OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THEY DID NOT AGREE. I ALSO FEEL THE EXTREME HEAT CONDITIONS PRESENT IN THE DESERT SOUTHWEST WHERE I LIVE MAY HAVE ALSO CONTRIBUTED TO THE FAILURE. PROBLEM OCCURS MULTIPLE TIMES DUE TO AN APPARENT FLAW IN THE BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT AND PLASTIC THAT FORMS THE SPLIT CIRCUIT FOR POSITIVE (+) NEGATIVE (-) CONNECTION POINTS TO BULB SOCKET LEADS. TO REPAIR - THE METAL ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE BENT OUTWARD (DIRECTION AWAY FROM TAIL LIGHT LENS) TO INCREASE TENSION BETWEEN BULB SOCKET ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS AND METAL PLATE OF TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE CAUSED BY WEAKENED PLASTIC THAT CAUSES THE METAL PLATE IN TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLE TO LOOSEN CREATING INADEQUATE BACK SPRING TENSION BETWEEN THE PLATE AND SOCKET CONNECTORS. I HAD THE DEALER LOOK AT THE SEAT - THE RESPONSE WAS THAT THE LEATHER HAD WORN THEREFORE I WAS FEELING A LITTLE MORE WARMTH IN THAT SPOT (AT THE TIME I TOOK THE CAR IN, I MUST HAVE HAD ONLY 40-50,000 MILES ON IT AS I ONLY PUT AN AVERAGE OF 8,000-10,000 MILES PER YEAR ON THE CAR. IT SEEMS RIDICULOUS TO ME THAT THE LEATHER WOULD WEAR THAT MUCH IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME ESPECIALLY SINCE I AM OF SLIGHT BUILD). I ADVISED THAT IT SMELLED LIKE BURNING AND THE SPOT WAS SO HOT THAT IT FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL. FLAMES WERE ERUPTING FROM THE DASH, WHERE THE CLIMATE CONTROL SWITCHES ARE LOCATED. I TRIED SMOTHERING THE FLAMES WITH A SWEATER. THIS DID NOT INTERRUPT THE PROGRESS OF THE FIRE. THERE WAS NO PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OTHER THAN TO THE CAR AND ITS CONTENTS. ITEMS SITUATED IN THE FRONT SEAT AREA WERE NOT RECOVERED, DUE TO THE INTENSITY OF THE FIRE. THE APPARENT CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT. IN 2010 NEW COUNTRY BMW IN HARTFORD TWICE REPLACED THE CLIMATE CONTROL FAN FINAL STAGE RESISTOR, ONCE IN APRIL AND AGAIN IN OCTOBER, AT NO CHARGE FOR THE SECOND REPLACEMENT. IN THE DAYS BEFORE THE FIRE THE CLIMATE CONTROL WAS AGAIN ACTING ERRATICALLY, AND THE EVIDENCE INDICATES THE FINAL STAGE RESISTOR WAS FAILING ONCE AGAIN. BMW NORTH AMERICA INSPECTED THE CAR AND CONFIRMED THAT THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL FAULT IN THE AREA BEHIND THE DASH WHERE THE FINAL STAGE RESISTOR IS LOCATED. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN AND LOST ALL POWER. HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD QUICKLY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT; HAD THIS BEEN AT HIGH SPEED, THE SITUATION MIGHT HAVE BEEN WORSE. SUBSEQUENTLY WHEN TRYING TO START, THE CAR SHOWS A MYRIAD OF WARNING LIGHTS AND FAULTS. A FUSE FOR THE MAIN COMPUTER (DME) HAD BLOWN, DUE TO A WIRING SHORT BETWEEN THE ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT AND THE MAIN COMPUTER. REPLACING THE FUSE IS NOT A PERMANENT FIX, AS IT BLOWS SHORTLY AFTER EACH TIME THE CAR IS STARTED, RENDERING THE CAR UNDRIVEABLE. THIS FIX TO REPLACE SHORTED WIRING IS IN THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. THE CAR HAD BEEN METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED AND HAD NEVER SUFFERED ANY RELATED ISSUE BEFORE. THERE IS A POOR CONNECTION, FAULTY WIRING, DESIGN FLAW, OR THE LIKE IN THIS SYSTEM. *TR
THE LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT CONTINUES TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY. THE 'CHECK BRAKE, CHECK REAR LIGHT' WARNING ILLUMINATES EVEN AFTER BULBS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS NUMEROUS TIMES, WITH THE MOST RECENT BEING A FEW DAYS AGO. YET, THE WARNING MESSAGE REAPPEARED THIS EVENING. THE PROBLEM IS SIMILAR TO THOSE RECENTLY INVESTIGATED BY NHTSA ON OTHER BMW MODELS SUCH AS THE 3 SERIES AND IS A COMMON COMPLAINT IN BMW FORUMS AND OTHER FORUMS ON THE INTERNET.

2003 BMW X5 RADIATOR CRACKED DURING DRIVING AND WATER SPILLED. CAR WAS IDLING AND SMOKY SMELL AND OIL PRESS, STOP ENGINE PROBLEMS. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE OBSERVED SMOKE COMING OUT FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF DRIVER SEAT. SLOWLY FELT THE HEAT SENSATION GROWING STRONGER IN THE AREA. ALMOST IN A PANIC, AND AT GREAT RISK TO MYSELF AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD, TRIED TO NAVIGATE THROUGH TRAFFIC ON THE BUSY STREET, TO THE RIGHT HAND TURN LANE, WHILE TRYING TO AVOID WHAT WAS OBVIOUSLY GROWING INTO A FIRE IN THE SEAT. HAD TO AVOID SITTING IN THAT AREA OF THE SEAT, WHILE KEEPING THE SEAT BELT ON IN CASE THERE WAS A CRASH. FINALLY MADE IT TO A PARKING LOT AND JUMPED OUT. THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE LEATHER SEAT THAT WAS SMOLDERING. THE SEAT HEATER HAD BURNED A HOLE THROUGH THE LEATHER SEAT. TRIED TO FIND SOMETHING TO DOUSE IT OUT WITH BEFORE IT SPREAD TO OTHER PARTS OF THE SEAT. ALSO, DISCOVERED THAT MY PANTS WERE STILL SMOLDERING ON THE REAR LEFT LEG TOWARDS THE HIP AREA. THERE WERE TWO HOLES BURNED INTO THE PANTS FROM CONTACT WITH THE BURNING SEAT. CALLED THE DEALER AND SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. CALLED BMW NA, WHO SAID THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY OTHER SUCH INCIDENTS AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE DIAGNOSIS FROM THE DEALER. THEIR ATTITUDE ALSO SEEMED VERY LAISSEZ-FAIRE ABOUT THE WHOLE THING, SEEMINGLY NOT TO CARE SINCE I WASN'T REPORTING ANY INJURIES. JUST THE FACT THAT MY SEAT WAS ON FIRE AND I BARELY AVOIDED GETTING IN A CRASH AND GETTING BURNED, WHILE MY PANTS ACTUALLY DID GET BURNED! MEANWHILE RESEARCHED THE INCIDENT AND FOUND ONE CASE REPORTED ON THIS VERY NHTSA WEBSITE, SEVERAL OTHERS ON THE X5 ON VARIOUS FORUMS AND A DOCUMENTED RECALL ON THE 5 SERIES FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THE SEAT HEATER. 2003 BMW X5 CCV "OIL SEPARATOR VALVE" HAS ISSUES IN COLD WEATHER AND IS KNOWN TO FAIL. THE PROBLEM RELATES TO A NON PROPER DESIGN WHERE THE VALVE CAN FREEZE. THE ENGINE BLOCK CAN THEN BLOW OIL AND CAUSE FIRE. BEFORE IT BLOWS THE BLOCK THE ENGINE WILL HAVE "HARD STARTS" WHICH WILL PUSH FROZEN OIL THROUGH THE SEPARATOR. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK WHEN I GOT A FOUL BURNING SMELL IN THE CAR. I OWN A 2003 X5. I LIVE IN NY. WHENEVER THE WEATHER GOES BELOW 20 DEGREES MY DOOR LOCKS FREEZE. I AM ABLE TO PULL OPEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, BUT ONCE I GET IN AND TRY TO CLOSE IT THE DOOR SWINGS BACK OPEN. I HAVE PULLED THE DOOR CLOSED AND MANUALLY PUSHED DOWN THE LOCK, BUT WHEN I TRY TO EXIT THE CAR I AM LOCKED IN. THE LOCKS WILL NOT OPEN AND I AM STUCK IN THE CAR UNTIL IT WARMS UP. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES THAT I HAD TO CRAWL OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR TO GET OUT. THE WINDOWS WILL NOT GO DOWN AND THE LOCKS WILL NOT ENGAGE. ON 01/15/2009, THE EXTREMELY CHILLY DAY, MY WIFE DROVE THE X5 ON ROUTE 2 EAST BOUND AROUND EXIT 58 IN ARLINGTON, MA, THE EXHAUST SYSTEM SUDDENLY EMITTED HEAVY WHITE SMOKE, BUT THE OIL WARNING LIGHT DID NOT TURNED ON AT ALL. AS A RESULT, TREMENDOUS PRESSURE BUILT INSIDE THE CRANK CASE, THE OIL CAP BLEW OFF AND THE ENGINE STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY. HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THEY HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IN THE 2003 MODEL YEAR AND THAT IT IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM IN VERY COLD WEATHER. WE HAVE ALSO LEARNT THE 2003 MODEL HAS A DESIGN FLAW WHERE THE VALVE IS NOT INSULATED AND NEWER MODELS HAVE CHANGED THE DESIGN TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. PART REPLACED BY DEALER. AFTER 3-4 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCING THESE INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS, I INSISTED THE DEALER TAKE THE CAR BACK AND LET ME PURCHASE A 2003 BMW X5. I RECEIVED THE NEWEST BMW X5 ON FEBRUARY 26, 2003 AND ON MARCH 10, 2003, I STARTED EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS AGAIN! THIS TIME, WHEN THE IGNITION WAS TURNED ON, THE FLASHERS CAME ON AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD NOT SHUT OFF WITHOUT ME OPENING THE DOOR AND CLOSING IT AGAIN - I HAD TO MANUALLY SHUT OFF THE FLASHERS. MINUTES LATER AFTER DRIVING THE CAR, I SHUT OFF THE IGNITION, GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND USED THE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM TO LOCK THE CAR AND ARM THE ALARM.
