CERTAIN AFTERMARKET THULE HITCH STYLE BICYCLE RACKS WITH FOLD DOWN STYLE BIKE ARMS. A PINCH BOLT EXISTS BETWEEN THE BIKE ARM BRACKET AND THE UPRIGHT ASSEMBLY OF THE HITCH STYLE BICYCLE RACK.
Consequence: WHEN MOVING THE BIKE ARM BRACKET TO ITS DOWN POSITION, THIS PINCH POINT HAS TO POTENTIAL OF CAUSING A SEVERE LACERATION OR AMPUTATION TO THE USER'S FINGERTIPS OR HAND.
Remedy: THULE WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND PROVIDE A REPAIR KIT AND INSTRUCTIONS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 20, 2007. OWNERS CAN CONTACT THULE AT 800-THULE91 (800-848-5391). Bought a SUV from a car lot was told the only problem it had was the o2 sensor needed to be changed test drive was good so had it a few days driving it got to be extremely bouncy ended up taking to my mechanic he said the struts are worn down nothing left on them the suspension was bad and the axles can snap anytime from how bad it bounces and said the airbag sensors are out
The Suspension system failed. I saw an car icon with two arrows on each side pointing down in orange color, indicating a problem with the Suspension, and then it felt like the car went down like a low-rider would. It was at night, my wife was driving and it was very scary since we didn't know what had just happened. We drove it about four miles back home and we felt every bump on the road and the tires were hitting the tire-well. Car still low to the ground if anyone wants to check it out. This happened on August 6th, 2025, We didn't take it to a dealership or mechanic because I don't think it's safe to drive so low to the ground. We foud through you tube that people have been comcomplaining about this issue for years now and nobody as done anything about this problem. I personally think it's a factory defect. There are too many cars having the same issue, If it's not the compressor then it's the air reservoir or a leakage in the supplying lines or the air valve or even the height sensors "It's a faulty system" and there should be a recall to fix it.
Fuel Tank Cover /Flange campaign does not include L320 2008 model..... I saw the rusted hole on the Fuel Tank Shield when I got the Oil changed, looked up the part WFN500021 and checked the recalls pending ...I wanted to find out if the same type of Flange was used in earlier models and why they were not included in recall?? Approved one is on August 12, 2021 NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V635000 -Fuel Outlet Flange May Crack And Leak Fuel including 2010 onward L320.

The contact owns a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while entering the front passenger side of the vehicle and using the passenger side hand grip, the hand grip fractured. Due to the failure, the contact fell backwards out of the vehicle and landed on her head and back. With the assistance of another pedestrian and her husband, the contact was taken to the hospital where a cat scan revealed internal bleeding around her head; the contact was able to be released the same day. Since the accident, the contact has had soreness and pain to both hands, back, neck and hip. The contact called the dealer where she was informed that the hand grips were not used for assistance into the vehicle but only for going over bumps in the road. The contact stated that she then read the owners manual and none of that information was listed. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER PICKING UP HER VEHICLE FROM LAND ROVER NORTH HAVEN (1700 BOSTON POST RD, GUILFORD, CT 06437, (203) 453-7060) THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FLUIDS WERE INSPECTED ALONG WITH THE TIRES AND BRAKES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT AUTHORIZED THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON THE SAME DAY THE BRAKES STARTED TO MALFUNCTION CAUSING DIFFICULTY IN SLOWING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE CONTACT DOWNSHIFTED AND PUMPED THE BRAKES WITH THE BRAKE FAILURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWED AND STOPPED USING THE PARKING BRAKES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY A MONTH, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
MY WIFE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A STOP SIGN. WHEN SHE TRIED TO PULL OFF, THE VEHICLE REFUSED TO MOVE. TWO GOOD SAMARITANS PUSHED HER INTO A PARKING LOT. HAD THIS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. INSPECTION A FEW DAYS LATER REVEALED RUSTED AND STRIPPED SPLINES ON THE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT AND TRANSFER CASE MATING PART. DURING MY RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM CAUSED BY ELECTROLYTIC MIGRATION DUE TO A LACK OF GREASE ON THE MATING PARTS DURING ASSEMBLY. PLEASE NOTE THE ABSOLUTELY CLEAN AREAS OF THE TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER CASE APART FROM THE RUST DISLODGED DURING DISASSEMBLY.
ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS OVER THE COURSE OF ABOUT 10 YEARS, WITH FOOT PRESSING HARD ON BRAKE TOWARD BOTTOM LEFT SIDE OF THE BRAKE, THE CAR ACCELERATED. FIRST TIME, I WAS AT AN ATM. FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. I WAS LEANING OUT THE WINDOW GETTING MONEY OUT OF THE ATM AND THE CAR ACCELERATED. A LOUD NOISE OF IT RAMPING UP AND THEN IT JOLTED FORWARD. I IMMEDIATELY SAT BACK STRAIGHT IN THE CAR KEEPING MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. WITHIN ABOUT 3 FEET THE CAR STOPPED. SECOND TIME WAS AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. LEANING OUT TO GET THE FOOD, THE CAR ACCELERATED. MADE THE LOUD RAMPING UP SOUND. JERKED FORWARD AND IMMEDIATELY STOPPED. THIRD TIME, AT A PHARMACY DRIVE THROUGH, LEANING OUT TO GET THE MEDICATIONS, FOOT ON THE BRAKE. CAR ACCELERATED. LOUD RAMPING UP NOISE. LUNGED FORWARD ABOUT 2 FEET THEN STOPPED. MOST RECENT TIME, I WAS GETTING A TICKET AT A PARKING GARAGE GATE. LEANED OUT TO PRESS THE BUTTON TO GET THE TICKET. 100% POSITIVE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. PRESSED HARD ON THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE OF THE BRAKE SO AS TO NOT SLIP. THE CAR MADE THE RAMPING UP SOUND, THEN ACCELERATED. WHEN I HEARD THE NOISE, I IMMEDIATELY SAT STRAIGHT AND KEPT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE ENTIRE TIME. IT WENT ABOUT 15 FEET WITHOUT STOPPING - THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE GATE BENT AND THEN SCRAPPED DOWN THE SIDE OF MY CAR. (TRIED HARD TO DRIVE AROUND IT AFTER IT BENT). I RELEASED THE BRAKE AND THEN PRESSED IT AGAIN AND THE CAR STOPPED. I WAS ABLE TO PARK IT IN A PARKING SPACE IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT MAYBE 100 YARDS AWAY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AFTER THE LAST INCIDENT. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY INSISTED MY FOOT MUST HAVE PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR OR THE CARPET MUST HAVE BEEN PUSHED UP UNDER THE ACCELERATOR (THE CAR HAS RUBBER MATTS, THERE IS NO CARPET) AS A WORK AROUND, I NOW ALWAYS PUT IT IN PARK WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON WHENEVER I'M AT A DRIVE THROUGH.
I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE DURING RUSH HOUR, APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH KEEPING UP WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. WHEN THE VEHICLE ACTED AS IF IT WENT INTO NEUTRAL. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE SUV TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT CAUSING ANY ACCIDENTS. WHEN I TRIED TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK IT MADE A GRINDING SOUND AND BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I THEN APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON TO KEEP IT IN PLACE. I HAD IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE, AND AT A LATER DATE DURING INSPECTION OF THE DRIVE TRAIN I HAD NOTICED THAT THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE TRANS AXLE HAD SEPARATED FROM THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OF MY RANGE ROVER. AT THAT POINT I REALIZED HOW LUCKY I WAS TO NOT HAVE BEEN EVOLVED IN ANY SORT OF MAJOR COLLISION. I BEGAN TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH AND READ OF MANY SIMILAR CASES THAT INVOLVED THE FRONT WHEELS LOCKING UP AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT DID NOT HAPPEN IN MY CASE, BECAUSE I WAS TRAVELING ON A BUSY STRETCH OF INTERSTATE DURING RUSH HOUR. I LATER CONTACTED LAND ROVER USA TO FILE A RECALL CLAIM, AND THEY INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NOT ANY SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS MODEL YEAR AND PART.
BROUGHT MY CAR FOR AN URGENT AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL MATTER SOLICITED BY LAND ROVER AND THE NHTSA DESCRIBED AS A MATTER THAT "CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH". SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND WAS ASSURED ORALLY AND IN WRITING THAT "IF REQUIRED (THE BUSINESS WILL) PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE FOR FREE". I ARRIVED ON TIME TO MY APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT NO LOANERS ARE AVAILABLE. I HAVE SCHEDULED SEVERAL APPOINTMENTS FOR TODAY BASING ON THE FACT THAT I WILL HAVE A VEHICLE, I TOOK TIME OFF FROM WORK AND I INVESTED TIME AND MONEY TO DRIVE TO SOLON FOR THE SAFETY RECALL APPOINTMENT. I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A WRITTEN APOLOGY FROM MR RALPH LOMBARDI OR WHOEVER SCHEDULED THIS APPOINTMENT AND WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY. AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW IS THIS MATTER GOING TO BE REMEDIED. IS THERE COMPENSATION FOR MY AGGRAVATION? IS THERE A CONSEQUENCE FOR THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICE?

FRONT END DIFFERENTIAL LOCKED UP ON THE INTERSTATE WITHOUT WARNING. FRONT TIRES WILL NOT TURN AND ARE COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A WRECK IF THERE WERE OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD AT THE SAME TIME. HAD IT TOWED TO A SERVICE SHOP, AND A MECHANIC SAID THE FRONT END DIFFERENTIAL IS COMPLETELY BLOWN UP AND SHOULD BE A FACTORY RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (JAKE KAPLAN LANDROVER OF WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS TO THE FUEL PUMP WERE FAULTY AND HAD OVERHEATED. THE FUEL PUMP HARNESS WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME AND THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CLEANED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER A THIRD TIME AND THE SUPERCHARGER WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. IN ADDITION, WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE STABILITY CONTROL SENSOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,266.
I AM WRITING TO ALERT YOU TO A SERIOUS POTENTIAL SAFETY DESIGN PROBLEM THAT CAUSED A SLOW LEAK IN THE FUEL LINE SYSTEM WITH MY 2008 RANGE ROVER HSE AND TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP FOR FURTHER POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD INVESTIGATION. THE ALUMINUM METAL DESIGN OF THE FUEL RAIL DEVELOPED A SEAL LEAK IN THE DAMPER THAT CAUSED A SLOW FUEL LEAK THAT I ONLY NOTICED RECENTLY AS I WAS WATCHING MY WIFE BACK THE VEHICLE DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. I WALKED OVER, TOUCHED THE LIQUID AND SMELLED IT TO VERIFY IN FACT THAT IT WAS A FUEL LEAK. IT WAS CLEAR THAT THE LEAK HAD BEEN THERE FOR QUITE A WHILE BUT WENT UNDETECTED DUE TO LACK OF FUEL VAPOR ENTERING THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR OR DETECTION BY ANY OF THE VEHICLES SAFETY/WARNING SYSTEMS. APPARENTLY, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO DETECT OR ALERT FOR SMALL BUT STEADY FUEL SYSTEM LEAKS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LAND ROVER DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FUEL RAIL DAMPER SEAL FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT WHAT'S MORE TROUBLING IS THAT THEY REPLACED THE PART 'IN KIND' WITH NO DESIGN IMPROVEMENT
TAKATA RECALL..I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM JAGUAR LAND ROVER NORTH AMERICA RE: THE SAFETY RECALL P081: TAKATA PASSENGER AIRBAGS INFORMING ME COMPONENTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS FOR MY 2008 RANGE ROVER. HOWEVER, WHEN I CONTACTED MY LAND ROVER RETAILER (LAND ROVER SACRAMENTO) I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD NO INVENTORY AVAILABLE UNTIL SEPTEMBER OR AUGUST 2017 AND COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE ME IN THE MEANTIME.
