Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION:DISPLAY FUNCTION
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the Central Vision Park Assist Module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 56A.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.
I am a former Transmission Calibration Engineer at Stellantis, so I know what I'm talking about. I experienced an engine stall event while coasting down in speed. I was in town, driving about 30 mph, and coasting (0% pedal). I lightly applied the brakes and while the vehicle was still in motion (coasting) the engine stalled. The information cluster displayed a message that said "put the vehicle in park and restart the engine." I coasted around a corner, came to a stop, put the transmission in Park, and restarted the engine. No MIL or codes were set. I have a scan tool and confirmed later that no codes were set. I'm fairly certain the engine was in DFSO (decel fuel shutoff) when the issue occurred as the conditions were all correct for DFSO (engine was in normal operating temperature range, gear was 5th or 6th when coasting was initiated, and pedal was 0% for several seconds before the issue occurred). Loss of propulsion is an obvious safety concern as I lost control of the vehicle.
The right PTU has failed out of nowhere causing a very loud pop and then grinding when driven. The vehicle was inspected by the jeep dealership last week to find that that was the issue. There was no warning or symptoms prior to the problem. The safety risk is evident in that it could cause an accident, the vehicle to stop completely, not Transmitting power and or not going into park. All without warning. The replacement is very costly
Lumbar support in driver seat noted to be randomly inflating and deflating while driving & over weekend the lumbar support had completely inflated and misshaped with the lumbar rounded out so much that is was extremely uncomfortable to drive, and the seat back noted to be detached from the seat back

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The upper control arm ball joint and steering knuckle may separate and cause the wheel to fall outward, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

An improperly connected coaxial cable may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. An improperly secured connector for the front seat side air bags (SAB) may prevent the air bags from deploying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
Consequence: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The center stack upper display (DCSD) contains a transistor that may overheat and prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. A software error within the hybrid control processor may result in a loss of drive power.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Component: SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:COIL SPRINGS
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear coil spring assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed February 12, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in March 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Went to turn left at barely 5mph and steering locked up with my front wheels pushed outside of wheel well (driver wheel, passenger is facing in), causing a collision. Steering wheel won’t turn at all now.
I received the following from the dealer when taking my car in for a suspension repair. Stellantis (Jeep) is trying to charge for software bug updates after warranty when the fixes were not available and also the without the fixes it could leave the car inoperable. Most of these should be covered as a safety/operational concern and should not be optional or charged for. "Software Update ,msmd,ttm,eps,idcm,bpcmCustomer Pay$239.33 Causes 1.Software IJpdate msmd Customers may experience the following: • Memory seat does not save on profiles 1 or 2. • Easy entry/exit functionality is inoperative. 2.ttm Customers may comment on one or more of the following: e If the vehicle is traveling at less than 5 kph (3 mph) and the brake pedal is pressed, then both turn lights will flash for two milliseconds. If the vehicle is traveling at less than S kph (3 mph) and one turn light is activated, then the opposite turn light will flash for 20 milliseconds 3.idcm Customer may also experience the following: 12 volt battery drain. e Vehicle will not charge." 4.eps *Customer may also experience the following: • A low frequency EPS motor noise during low speed steering maneuvers which may be more noticeable at higher ambient and system temperatures." 5.bpcm Customers may also experience one or more of the following: e "Vehicle does not start." • Low 12V battery causing vehicle not to start."
This is the third time that my jeep has completely shut off with no warning and in the middle of traffic. I am unable to turn on any hazard lights. The power goes completely out, and I am unable to put the car in neutral or anything to be safe. I have reported this issue in the past. The dealership is unable to figure out what is wrong and I keep trying to get this resolved before it turns out tragically. Please help me before I loss my life in this vehicle.
I would like to file a complaint against Jeep. I drive a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE with 16,000 miles. While driving to the Store, the electronic parking brake engaged while driving. This caused braking system damage. Jeep / Manufacturer are refusing to reimburse me. The total cost was: $9,129.26. This effected the Actuators, Brake Calipers, Rear Rotors, and Brake Pads. This is not normal wear and tear, however a safety-related defect.
Exhaust small in cabin. Exhaust manifolds leaking pulling exhaust into the cabin through the climate system. When the recirculation is turned on, then the smell is not present. When the recirculation is off then the exhaust smell is strong inside the cabin. The exhaust in the cabin is causing causing respiratory problems, fatigue, eye irritation and I am concerned of passing out when driving. I frequently have to turn on the recirculation button to keep the exhaust out of the cabin but in the winter time and in high humidity situations the window fog causing an additional safety issue. I am also forced to open the windows during this time causing excessive noise and temperature control issue. I called dealer months ago and they said not covered but now I learned should have been covered but now past the 60k mile limit.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and shifting into park(P), the parking brake independently activated. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact manually disengaged the parking brake to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 66,212.
Front passenger head restraint deployed without any accident or reason. Just deployed without cause snapping a plastic bracket so it can’t be manually pushed back into place you have to purchase the entire component. The other oddity is the piece that you need to replace in question has been discontinued. Stellantis has a recall referenced as (20c) but my particular vehicle doesn’t fit in there timeline for that recall. I have a child and it is a head restraint that deployed is an airbag, which is extremely dangerous for anybody that could’ve been sitting in that spot or behind the seat. The piece itself is 700 there is no wholesale for this particular piece so you’re looking at any place that would charge you 700 and then whatever the service or labor fee is which is minimal so we’re talking at least 800 for a piece that has to be with or compatible with a certain part number which is discontinued or it will not work with the system
The electronic steering quit working at 55 mph, I was very hard to steer afterwards, there wear other indicator lights besides the steering warning light, I will add a picture of them. I did already do a report but have pictures to show the problem. I kept the core to figure out what happened, there is water in the unit control area for the motor. The issue started at the same time the water pump was leaking, and I believe that caused the water and corrosion in the electronic area. I also have another invoice for the diagnosis from the hudson dealer for about 600 dollars but mislaid it, If I need it I can get a duplicate.
The Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee are consistently failing to operate as intended, creating a significant safety hazard Symptoms include: System Inactivity: The FCW fails to alert or provide braking assistance during clear, high-risk frontal collision scenarios. Persistent Warning Lights: The 'FCW OFF' indicator illuminates on the instrument cluster and cannot be cleared by toggling settings in the Uconnect 5 system. Software Defaults: Following Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, the FCW and Pedestrian Emergency Braking (PEB) systems default to 'OFF' and often remain disabled despite user attempts to re-engage them. Hardware Misalignment/Blinding: Frequent 'ACC/FCW Limited Functionality' messages occur even in clear weather with clean sensors, indicating a potential calibration or module communication failure. I am referencing XXX and Manufacturer Communication XXX regarding these specific software/hardware faults. Despite these known issues, the dealership Ziegler Chrisler Doodge Jeep Ram in Schaumburg, IL has been unable to provide a permanent resolution. This failure leaves the vehicle without critical, advertised safety protections during operation
Issue 1: After several recalls - the battery issue still remains. Often not kicking in and leaving a power deficit (loss of motive power). The gap is short, but when low speed on battery and you push the accellerator to merge/turn, etc. and there is a delay - it can cause an accident. Issue 2: The investigation of alerts of pedestrians - happens intermittently. There has never been a fix. Issue 3: The tire pressure monitoring system fails to read intermittently - a warning on the dash indicates it is not working and to get it checked. Dealership has noted problem, but never fixed. Still occurs 3+ years. Issue 4: Radio/infotainment system blanks out or becomes unresponsive. When relying on this device for navigation, that becomes a problem.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and was left for several months waiting for parts to become available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
